Hells yeah.

You'll like him Clippers fans, us Aussies know he's good.

I like Bullock and I've heard nothing but good things about CDR, but I have a feeling Ingles should solidify himself as the main backup for you guys.

Big player with good ball-handling skills. He is very smart player, he made massive improvement in his 3 point shooting in last years, last season he was very reliable from 3pt line. I dont know how is going to be with NBA 3pt line, but if he will continue to improve the way he was last years, sky is his limit. He can defend well smart players, ge is good at team defense, may have problems wih man-to-man D on athletic players.

He is improvement of Turkoglu with similar way of playing.

it's ok. Nobody can guard the 3 well enough to stop the elite guys of that position.

I just wanna know he's a guy who will compete his ass off on that end and make those guys work for it (or work for it as best he can).

oh and can he rebound?

Joe Ingles is fully guaranteed, per David Pick:

With this signing, I see the Clippers making a trade.

Good signing for the Clippers. I watched a few games of Maccabi TLV last year in the Euroleague and in the Israeli League and Ingles is some levels above this leagues. Can be very good backup for Matt Barnes and CDR.

Now the Clippers have a two former players of Maccabi Tel-Aviv. Both Jordan Farmar and Joe Ingles.

So with this trade don't y'all really need to make a trade?

Barnes/CDR/ingles/bullock
Griffin/udoh/big baby/Turk

All at the 3/4...I can't remember who y'all drafted but he was a 3 too right? Or a 2?

Then just
cp3/farmar
Jj/jc...unless that Wilcox guy is a 2
Dj/spencer

At the 1/2/5..though I guess big baby can also play 5 in a pinch

C DJ/Hawes
PF Griffin/Udoh/Baby/Hedo
SF Barnes/CDR/Ingles/Bullock
SG Redick/Crawford/Wilcox
PG CP3/Farmar

Is probably the depth chart to start the season. Barnes may be the one in trouble if CDR and Ingles outplay him.

I don't see Ingles ever getting a starting position honestly.

He just signed for the minimum so no one is expecting him to. But he has the potential to be a very good back up and glue guy on an NBA roster.

Ingles is intriguing from a standpoint that he’s a true wing player with excellent size for his position at around 6-8. His frame looks noticeably better than it did in the past, and he appears to be a fairly agile prospect with nice fluidity. Ingles can put the ball on the floor going either direction and has a really nice mid-range game, looking very smooth pulling up off the dribble. His perimeter jumper looks a bit on the funky side and isn’t all that quick, but he does appear to be capable of making shots from beyond the arc, even if he was a bit streaky in this setting. He has a reputation for being a great passer, but that was impossible to see here.

Defensively is where we’d really like to see more of Ingles, as this will probably be a deciding factor in how teams view him. Due to the amount of workouts the prospects were slated to take part of immediately after this weekend, we weren’t able to see anything on this side of the floor to avoid the risk of injury.

From an intangibles standpoint, Ingles is impressive, and is already drawing rave reviews in many of the workouts he’s attended. The fact that he’s been playing professional basketball for the past three years definitely gives him a leg up over many of his NCAA counterparts.

Positionally, Ingles is a small forward that excels on the perimeter both handling the ball and shooting it from deep. At 6’8 with a 6’10 wingspan, he has pretty excellent size for that position in the NBA. Depending on who he signs with, it actually wouldn’t be a total surprise to me to see someone line him up in a limited stretch, small-ball 4 role, utilizing his excellent decision-making, quick ball-movement, and ability to shoot the ball in order to clear out the lane for smaller guards. It’s not totally unrealistic that he could see time at three different NBA positions. In that regard, versatility is the name of the game for Ingles, not just in his positionality but also in his skill set.

The comparison game is often silly and misguided, and that’s the case with Ingles too. For instance, the best way I can think of to describe his play style is a combination of Manu Ginobili and Chandler Parsons together. While those are two vastly different players, making this comparison reek of racial biasing due to the color of the three players’ skins, it also kind of works. The melding of ball-handling, three-point shooting, and length makes for someone that should be able to step in immediately and contribute on the offensive end.

Seems okay, doesn't seem like a defender, so we'll see of he can carve out minutes. Right now he is battling for 3rd SF along with Bullock

First thought was that he'll be used as a small ball PF in short stretches like Hedo.

He has the height but not bulk for the 4 (I doubt he's more than 230lbs), he's more likely to play the 2 with his handles and spot up j.

Not sure how legit the tweet above is, but it matches the previous sentiments I expressed in the Off-season Thread: first, in going after players like Zoran Dragic & Joe Ingles and, second, how there was an outside chance that the Clips would sign Ingles given that the organization expressed interest in him since at least last off-season.

To secure Ingles to a non-guaranteed deal with multiple teams in pursuit of his services is a steal IMO, especially since he previously turned down a guaranteed deal for two years from Memphis that was prompted by Marc Gasol's urging due to affinity for Jingles's playing style. I feel this is the type of signing that the Spurs would usually secure even though it is curious they haven't been mentioned as one of the teams in pursuit.

As I mentioned previously, getting Zoran Dragic would have further solidified our SG position and made it easier to eventually deal Jamal Crawford to possibly solve the SF issue once and for all, however, it was always a long-shot given that not only should Z. Dragic get significantly more than a minimum salary offer, but his desire to eventually team up with his brother, Goran, basically took the Clips out of the running with the Point God's dominion over the PG position.

In any case, Udoh, CDR, and Ingles are welcomed additions who are much more preferable to Charlie Villanueva and Leandro Barbosa. I'd argue they are more valuable right now than Big Baby Davis, Hedo Turkoglu, Reggie Bullock, and C.J. Wilcox. However, there are question marks for at least two of the three. Will Udoh be fully recovered physically to display the athleticism that showcased his standout rim-protection instincts? Will Ingles be comfortable enough to finally adjust and show consistency in sticking in the NBA this time after previous failed attempts? Chris Douglas-Roberts looks like he'll be a solid contributor albeit without spectacular flair.

It is my hope that those three will provide us with reliable contributions much like valuable role players of the past in Danny Ainge, Kurt Rambis, and A.C. Green. However, none of the Clips' acquisition are considered standout rebounders. Even still, they look promising.

This should put Matt Barnes on further notice as last season was a disappointment in his case. He expressed frustrations in fighting his teammates' fights for them, then suffered an eye injury that rendered him ineffective for a big part of his season before barely surviving the trade deadline that would have had him packaged along with a future first-round pick for Iman Shumpert and Raymond Felton's bloated contract and body. It's not even a given that the team will exercise the $3.5 million team option for the 2015-16 season on his contract.
