Surprised there hasn't been a thread. I'm on mobile so pardon the link:
http://fullyclips.com/2014/09/15/clippe ... %20on%20FSFort Wayne Mad Ants! This is huge. Didn't we use to share the Bakersfield Jam with some other team? But we're gonna share this team with 12 other teams. Last year, we had no affiliate.

This isn'r really huge. If anything it's kind of a step back. When we had the Jam we shared with 4 or 5 teams. Now its 12. It would be huge if it was only ours.
Development of Bullock & Wilcox

I've been critical of Doc's development of young players, so if he can't do much with Reggie Bullock and/or C.J. Wilcox, both might have been served well to get regular playing time in the D-League. However, given that we have to share a single affiliate with 12 other teams, I'm not sure they wouldn't be better off practicing with and against CP3 and Blake.

I miss the Anaheim Arsenal

I still don't get why the NBA can't convince every team to have their own affiliate. The NBA needs some sort of farm system, ala the MLB, but not as many divisions, of course. The Clippers team can be in the OC/San Diego/San Fern Valley, etc. While, Phoenix can have a team in Tucson and I can see some games.

There are only 18 teams in the D-League so obviously most teams will be shared. The problem with the ambition of getting a real farm system in the NBA is college hoops. It's already the "farm system." If the NBA allowed high school players to get drafted again and have some sort of rule in college that a player cannot leave for the NBA until after his junior year, then there's a chance for a real minor league system in basketball.

Question-how does the "sharing a D league team" work? If player X is playing extremely well, how do they decide which NBA team he gets to go to if a team wants to call him up?
