Clippers Preseason Stats

Matt Barnes, who Clippers Coach Doc Rivers said will start at small forward in the team's season opener Thursday against Oklahoma City, has struggled throughout the preseason with his shot.

He entered Wednesday's game shooting three for 31 (9.7%) from the field, including one of 18 (5.6%) from behind the three-point line. Against the Suns, he was 0 for 5 from the field when he missed all four from long range.

Clippers SF's 3PT shooting:

CDR: 2/11 (18.2%)
Barnes: 1/22 (4.5%)
Bullock: 2/8 (25%)
Hedo: 5/7 (71.4%)
Ingles: 1/2 (50%)

The good thing is that it is obviously extremely unlikely that both Barnes and CDR just go cold for the season or just both drastically decline in 3PT shooting. It really can only go up from here for them.

Does it add insult to injury that these are Dudley's pre-season numbers:

58.1% FG
68.4% 3PT

Obviously non sustainable, but we knew he would bounce back if he shook the injury bug. Let's just hope no playoff team that we will be playing against decides to pick him up and he plays well for them.

What I'm wondering is who in the world is creating the open three's and good looks for him on a team like that? Lol

I'm glad our preseason games are on TV. I'll happy to watch this last game and see how we do. I don't know who will be play or for how long, but whoever does play I hope they play well.

I'm surprised with JJ as well. Maybe he has a different attitude this preseason.

As an aside I'm impressed to see Blake knock down the step back jumper, I thought he made a mistake by not shooting it in rhythm. Guess it didn't matter, I hope to see much more of that this season.

Anyone know if Ingles will play tonight? I'd love to see more of him.

I have a feeling Ingles doesn't make it and Cunningham does. Ingles has hardly played this pre-season.

My thoughts exactly, I haven't seen or heard much from Ingles. Although the same can be said for CJ Wilcox.

I think Cunningham is a lot more NBA ready than Wilcox and Bullock. I'm a fan.

I won't be shocked if we don't get a top 4 seed. We are going to need a lot more games in the season to continue to build chemistry because clearly we are not ready yet.

Hopefully we don't give up 60 in this half

There will be some lineups and some players that will disappear when the regular season starts

When will we know if Ingles/Cunningham make the team? Sometime this weekend I assume?
