The Los Angeles Clippers approach this season with a chip on their shoulder and a bad taste in their mouth. After an emotionally charged postseason, the Clippers begin the 2014-15 season squaring off against the very team that wiped out their hopes of becoming the 2014 NBA champions. The Clippers have made strides in improving their product over the years, but still remain behind a pair of western conference powerhouses. The titan known as the Oklahoma City Thunder, have an abundance of youth and talent that should translate into being force to be reckoned with for the foreseeable future. The only thing that can slow them is coaching, injuries or defection. The Clippers and the Thunder should encounter at least a few epic postseason battles in the years to come. Tonight's game won't be of that magnitude, but it will serve the purpose of being day 1 of what they hope to be approximately a 230 day journey.

The Thunder will be without several of their essential pieces and are coming in on the second night of a back-to-back (aka segababa). That should be a recipe for success for the good guys, but anything can happen on any given night. After going through the motions for most of October, will the Clippers be ready to strike on a western conference nemesis?

I think this will be an ugly game but Blake will drag the team over the line for the win.

This seems like a game that we should win, but remember how we lost to the Lakers in the first game of the season last year. I just hope that we come out ready and we play some tough defense tomorrow night.

This one should be an easy win. However with Durant back, Thunder is the superior team by far.

I don't believe that Redick and Barnes are capable players to start in a championship caliber team. Doc should certainly do something to put team ahead Spurs, Thunder and Rockets.

Redick is, definitely, he's an important part of why our offense is this good. And he's a competent defender in the sense that he puts in effort and knows where he has to be, so you can't repeatedly attack him like they do Crawford, so you can cover for JJ's deficiencies. Barnes could have been when he was younger, he's declining too much and too fast though. We just need a SF that can be average on defense and hit open shots at an average rate, not much else.

Tonight should be an easy win, they're too decimated and on a back to back. However, we have a history of starting asleep and play down to opponents, and they showed yesterday that they can hang on with a competitive team for 3 quarters. I wouldn't be surprised if they upset us.

After a lackluster pre-season, the team needs to be focused and take care of business. Looking at our schedule, anything less than a 4-0 start to this season would be a disappointment.

Don't clump Redick and Barnes together as JJ is the far superior player. Barnes is the weak link and will continue to be. And I don't know how you think OKC is far better when the Clips went back and forth with them all last season and the playoffs. They faced each other 10 times, and it was 6-4 OKC. But Clips should've won game 5. They were only 2 blowouts and the rest of the games could've gone either way.

Also Houston is NOT a better team. They were swept by the Clips last year.

durant will be coming back from a broken foot. Blake is about to blow up (hopefully) to make that leap into one of the scoring champs this year. I think we are not any lesser then them or are they any better at this point.
