http://thefanaticsview.com/basketball/c ... might-not/ "Los Angeles Clippers guard Chris Paul was critical of referee Lauren Holtkamp after both he and DeAndre Jordan received technical fouls from her during Thursday’s game"
CP also says "this might not be for her"

This is why Marshawn doesn't talk to the media. Let me break it down for you. Every player who has been around 5+ years knows every ref by that time. So they know when there is a new ref, in fact, the players probably get word about new refs. He was asked about the tech, so he singled out the ref who gave it to him. Regardless if the ref was a man or a woman, he would have called them out nonetheless. The tech was ridiculous, so he said so.

I also think there's a difference between….
"this is not for her" and "if that's a tech, then maybe this is not for her" (paraphrased).
A Clipper hater slamming Paul wouldn't want to hear that but imo it's true.
When the latter is used, it usually connotes that someone is a rookie at something and they just need to get up to speed.
Everybody's had a coach tell them at the next level…
"If you can't _________, then maybe __________" as a means to motivate them to get up to the speed of the game or mental aspect of it.
just my thoughts on it.

The officiating in the NBA is terrible and has been terrible for years. It is the single biggest problem in the NBA and has not been improved at all because the league is constantly in denial about it. The level of incompetence and over-reaction on the part of many league refs is horrible.

Exactly Quake....the agenda is VERY clear.
I actually said that the media has turned into a bigger mess than the national enquirer

i'm a warriors fan so i'm incredibly anti-clipper, but even I think that was complete BS.
if she's like this as a rookie... can you imagine what she will be like when she has seniority like joey crawford? get ready to witness a joey crawford that is on his period. its over, fellas. nba is dead.
And i dunno if it shouldn't be a gender thing. granted, cp3 didn't treat it as a gender thing, its misinterpreted, but i happen to know how incredibly SUCKY it feels for a chick on her period. so qn: are female refs given time off when they are on theirs? Cos if they are not... get ready for some emotion-driven BS calls. and honestly that tech on cp3 looks very suspect and emotional.
and that tech on deandre just stinks of period.

Meh who cares, she made some bad calls it's pretty clear she's just too new/nervous. If she's still bad as time goes on then she can screw off, but until then whatever.
The tecks were awful but it's pretty unfair to hate on people to such an extent for making mistakes in their first go round of anything, especially when it's on a huge stage.
Don't you guys remember when the refs were trying to sign a new contract? Try not to forget just how much EVERYONE was begging for the old refs to come back cause the replacement refs were so horrible. As awful as and scummy as a few of the current refs can be, the alternative is a lot worse. You can't replace the sh*t refs if you don't try to bring in new blood, even if they suck at first.
also kaiballz's post is pretty gd offensive. pretty moronic that people have to inject sexism into this kind of thing.
