All star weekend is one of my favorite times of the year. I'll watch as much as I can and it's exciting to be in my hometown of New York.

Kinda bummed we won't see Blake or DJ, who would've been amazing to watch in the ASG and dunk contest. CP probably won't have much to do coming off the bench. I'm excited for Redick, but he'll have some very tough competition.

this is gonna sound heresy but as much as I love my clippers, I just don't like NBA enough to care for an all star game weekend. I surely will look for JJ's 3 point competition but other than that, I only care CP3 does't hurt himself. I think I would rather dig up some scouting videos for baseball prospects this weekend than watch this all star game. in fact scouting videos would give me so much more pleasure.... no Clips, no NBA for me. unless we go back to players wearing their own jerseys, then i would probably fight through my boredom just to see CP3 on the court wearing the clipper uni.

I didn't make my picks. I would have went with the World, but that already happened.

I'm going with:
Shooting Stars: Team Bosh
Skills: Kyle Lowry
3PT Shootout: JJ Redick
Dunk: Zach LaVine

Yeah disappointed that JJ didn't score better. I'm a huge fan of JJ and Korver and would have loved to see them score like everyone knows they're capable of.

Unfortunately I was watching my Penn State hoops team lose to Maryland so I missed most of the action last night. I didn't know that JJ took a bunch of long 2s, however I heard that Lavine killed the dunk contest. Comimg in I knew he has a crazy vertical.

JJ would have had 22 if not for the violations. 23 was needed to advance to the 2nd round. Hopefully he'll get an opportunity to give it another go next season.

just want to add that SOOOOOO many of my friends (Laker fans and Clipper haters) love to give me crap about Griffin in the dunk contest.

IDC what anybody says…
Griff's 1st miss was a 50 to me. Not his 1st completed dunk. His 1st miss.

I dunno. maybe it's just a chronic episode of a nostalgia, but the 88 is still the best of all time for me.

85 winner Dominique Wilkins
86 winner Spud Webb
87 winner Michael Jordan
and
Clyde the Glide, Cadillac Anderson, Otis Smith, and Jerome Kersey

you gotta remember too, is that this is what, a 27 years ago? nobody had done these things before them.

I'm surprised that the all star game is starting at 8:30 here in the East. I thought it would start at 8, not that it makes much of a difference for me.

Coming into the game, LeBron is 33 points away from surpassing Kobe for all-time leading scorer in the ASG. He's going to be gunning for it.

I'm not sure if I want to go for the east or the west. Hopefully this turns out to be a good game. I wish that Blake was playing.
