This was a great interview, listened to the whole thing while being productive around. A lot of interesting things discussed.

Actually really interesting with his discussion about the refs, but also about the team just having guys with certain personalities. The one ref not wanting to talk to Doc is quite funny, I'm not surprised though, Doc is constant with whatever he's saying to them. Also interesting that he mentioned how there are certain refs they wouldn't be happy to get in a playoff game, I bet some people can theorize who those might be, lol

Cheering for guys he used to play for before and him and P.J. Tucker being friends, wouldn't have thought of that. Also about them high fiving each other after a timeout, then the awkward look, that's too funny.

It's also interesting how he said he was looking at the numbers and felt Westbrook was the MVP, then the Clippers played them and he just felt that while he's great, he just uses so many possessions to do what he does, so it doesn't feel the same as when you just see the stats. It's kinda of like "yea he's playing great, but numbers wise, at that many possessions, other guys could also stack the numbers", a sentiment shared by some fans.

I liked his talk about perimeter defenders, "People talk about Iguodala and Allen, and I don't know their defensive RPM's or anything, but for me, Leonard and Green are tough".

Three point contest and stepping on the line. Funny that he said Klay Thompson was so devastated for him, guess shooters gotta stick together.

Anyways, a lot of good stuff in there.

Yeah, great listen, he's everyone's golden boy now, but gotta acknowledge Zach Lowe is just too good at what he does. Redick was very politically correct but he's very knowledgeable about the league and articulate, and still left a few great things to think about.

I like what he said about the guys talking about not complaining and trying to be more likable and whatever, but in the end they are who they are and their personality will transpire on the court. I feel kind of, at times you think 'won't you stop complaining', but in the end, they are who they are, and I love I'm having the chance to root for them. F*ck the circlejerk hating on the Clippers, these are my guys and if you don't like them f*ck you too.

About the top defenders in the league, I like that he sees it more as a combination, like yeh Allen and Iguodala are good, but the combination of Leonard and Green is just too tough that if you lose one on a screen or a switch, the other one's on you and he's gonna guard you really well.

Lowe and Redick should just do a regular show together.

Agreed. J.J. has a great career in broadcasting ahead of him when his playing days are over. Maybe he can take over Mike Smith's spot as color man to start his post-playing career. :reporter:
