Outside of re-signing DJ, our offseason is about wings.

Let's discuss wings from here until next Halloween.
I prefer the Louisiana Rub from Wing Stop.

As I said in another thread, I really like Gerald Green. Pierce would be very nice. However, I think if he plays he will stay in Washington. He seemed to like it there.

i could see him maybe opting out and taking a flier with us for his last chance. something to cement his legacy as the guy who pushed cp3 and blake over the top.
i'd dig it.

Ill keep saying it. Mike Dunleavy Jr.
Trade Crawford and Hawes/Barnes for Stepehnson, use the MMLE on Dunleavy, pick up a vet PG or try to swing a trade using CJ Wilcox.
Austin Rivers or Vet PG/Lance/Dunleavy/Baby/vet C
Thats a more versatile bench. Lance can play with or without Redick with the starters and add some defense. Dunleavy can provide the floor spacing from the 3 when we need it. Play the buyout market game again and add another big after the trade deadline.

Dunleavy is a good shooter, but he doesn't solve the problem of a lack of defense at the wing.

WIlson Chandler
KJ McDaniels
Al Farouq Aminu

Gerald Green or
Tobias Harris
Middleton or Chandler (Wilson) would be super dope.
Don't know why Doc is interested in that gimp Wes Johnson.

Considering he is 34, we can offer him a longer deal (3 years, partial guarantee year 3) at about what he made this year. Im sure he'll look for more money, but winning seems to matter most. I doubt the Bulls let him get away that easily, but hes a target I would go after (depending on how the other moves shape our roster).

Taking a shot on Stephenson helps solve that problem. We add his perimeter defense and creation plus Dunleavy's shooting and floor spacing.

not super sure how i feel about dunleavy especially after all the cheap shots he was doling out in the milwaukee series but he would definitely make us better. i think that 3rd year being partially guaranteed or a team option would be really smart as well.

Two one way players don't combine to make a good player. During Dunleavy's shooting slumps he will be useless just like Jamal. You need 5 defenders to implement solid defense, however a good offensive system doesn't require 5 good shooters. We proved that having the most efficient offense doesn't matter because the team will always have shooting slumps every now and then.

pretty sure you would have to be nate robinson to be as useless as jamal when not hitting shots. dunleavy wouldn't qualify.
there's a big difference between being a black hole shotjacker like jamal and someone who does some other stuff without hijacking the offense when they're missing shots.
i do generally agree about getting more defensive players. but i think dunleavy would bring some decent balance to our starting lineup. barnes is a little too inconsistent and dunleavy would do some pretty nifty things for our offense and spacing. that said i still trust in our starters even if barnes is aging a bit. i'd ride with them and be fine just retooling the bench completely.

Not sure contract wise how to pick up Gerald Green But I would love to have him on the team.. Length and Athleticism... I am also a fan of Lance Stephenson.... I think Doc could get him to play hard.
