I hope you don't mind me posting this here, but I am curious if there are Chargers fans here...if so, it would be great to contribute or post your thoughts about them in the Chargers forum.

But also, I am interested about which of the three teams you would rather see go to LA between the Rams, Raiders and Chargers. I know this belongs in the NFL general forum, but I doubt many of you visit there, so I hope to get some opinions.

I know there are many old school Rams and Raiders fans, but more recently in the last 10 years or so, I can imagine younger fans maybe pulled for the Chargers (they say 25% of their revenue comes from the Orange County area).

Since two teams may move, it would be great if you would respond to the post and not just the poll and and say your first and second choices, but I decided to put only one choice in the poll to see which team is the most popular among LA fans.

Rams bc they used to be there. Raiders #2 because they have been so bad for so long it'd be nice to see them get a new stadium. I really don't care either way though as it wouldn't effect me one bit.

I've been following the Chargers as a fan about as long as I've followed the Clippers (although my interest in the Bolts has gradually waned a bit during A.J. Smith's reign of terror), so kinda selfishly it'll be nice to see the Bolts make the move up the coast.

However, the Chargers do have a rather very good history in San Diego, and have established plenty of roots there in the 54 years they've been there...the Chargers belong in San Diego, in the same vein that the Packers belong in Green Bay, the Steelers in Pittsburgh, the Broncos in Denver, and so on. On the other side, I think it's pretty inevitable that the Rams will make the move back to Southern California, no matter how much scrambling the authorities in St. Louis and Missouri are doing to secure a stadium plan.

Since I'm a Charger fan, I could care less where the Raiders end up going...they don't have the money in Oakland and Alameda County to build a football stadium (while still trying to come up with something to keep the Athletics there), and there aren't too many other viable markets they could go to. But I have another feeling that the Silver & Black will end up down here too.

Im sorry but I personally think this thread is not a correct representation of the actual demographics of what LA fans want. LA is a Raider Town. when Raiders and Rams were still in LA, it was pretty clear who owned LA. the Chargers left LA so long ago they are now ingrained with the SD popculture. if they move up the I-5, fine by me. but even with stadium sharing, the Chargers will be the jets to the Raiders' Giant nature.

and I don't see the rams moving. they will get their new stadium paid by the citizens of St. Louis.

First off, I know that the issues of building a new stadium/lack of funds/likely politics played a role in both teams leaving L.A. in the early to mid 90s. Pretty crazy since L.A. has a large market and should have plenty money to throw around.

As an outsider, I have to ask some questions. Considering that L.A. is known for the glitz and glamour culture, bohemian/laid-back nature and etc.

Is L.A. considered a football city in spite of other sports teams the city currently has?

Although football has been non-existent in L.A. for 20yrs, are people desiring for football to return to L.A. ?

(Likely a difficult question)Back when the Rams and Raiders played there, were the attendance numbers supported the idea that football was well received in L.A.?
