Always happy to watch another Clipper game. I'm sure the Mavs will be motivated since DeAndre changed his mind. I have a feeling we'll be ready for our home opener and that we'll play better than last night.

He hit a fan with a seat cushion. Probably end up suspended a game or 2 soon

CP3 is
5-16 vs Deron Williams throughout the course of their careers.
As a Clipper, CP3 is 1-4 against D-Will. The lone win came at STAPLES, with the 4 losses taking place in Jersey/Brooklyn.

I'm excited to see what Doc does with the minutes for our first back to back. I'm expecting to see more Johnson and little Pierce. The real question is, what will our defense be like on the 2nd game of a back to back with the bench having a slightly bigger role?

Mavericks have one purpose tonight: get DeAndre Jordan ejected from a game. It would stand as the ultimate payback for the reneging. Clippers, especially DJ, must be ready for Dallas's wrath.

No, will most likely be a huge fine. Should Austin get suspended, this could hurt Doc.

That's why the Mavericks got him. Deron has always played well against Chris Paul over the years, and that's what the Mavericks are hoping for at this point: a lucky charm. If the Mavericks can find a way to sweep the Clippers this year (they only meet 3 times this year), they could end up making the playoffs. And I wouldn't be surprised one bit.

not sure when it happened, og.
more than likely austin will be suspended. you simply cannot do that kind of stuff to the fans and think you're coming off lightly.

don't know how austin got away with just a fine, because he deserved a suspension for sure.
fortunate for the clippers though. austin will need to get his confidence rolling early on this season for us to have the explosive bench we want.

Maybe tap the brakes on that? I know you are naturally going to be Clipper-centric, but we didn't get him as some CP3 antidote. Deron isn't that player any longer and even if he somehow managed to hold Paul to a draw in their matchup(never happening) we'd still struggle to beat the Clips. With a healthy Parsons/Matthews we match up really well on the wings, but we don't have that. And that frontcourt matchup is probably outlawed in several states. I love Dirk and Zaza was great last night, but Blake/DeAndre should destroy them (and Dwight Powell).
No, we got him because we still had money to spend and Brooklyn was desperate to unload the guy and he is desperate to try and salvage his career and Rick Carlisle is a good a choice as anyone as a guy to help you do that. But he's one of the worst starting PG's in the league at this point.
edit: and no getting him ejected is hardly payback. It would entertain and amuse Mavs fans for a minute, but really that's it. And I don't think the Mavs fans outside of Parsons and maybe Dirk even care that much. And Parsons isn't playing.

Oh and OP firmly delivers. I had almost forgotten just how great some of the memes were from the DeAndre fiasco.
I expect Dallas to get run tonight. But I admit I'll watch hoping Zaza gets a little extra physical with Mr. Jordan tonight. Of course the real fun will be when he has to come here.
I imagine Cuban will get a strong dose of boos himself tonight as he's planning to be in the building.

it is 0nly one game but i must say I was happy with lance. I absolutely did not like the trade but if he can help like he played last night I will reevaluate my opinion. keep it up lance.

They'll always be linked together and it's a match-up that I'm sure they both look forward to. Keep in mind that Utah typically had better/deeper teams than New Orleans and that the Clippers "don't always play to their potential" on the Eastern trips.
