This team just doesn't seem to value defensive rebounds.

crawford takes a run of the mill contested 22 footer.
mike smith "see now that's a shot doc won't endorse"
um, ok? so that's why he plays him more than any other reserve? don't be dense, mike.
anyway it's been just developing very recently but it's looking a bit more like crawford and smith have been building some chemistry. smith is still feast or famine but i think he's starting to get it. (also, see, i can say something nice about jamal!)

yeah... whatever dj learned last year about rebounding he's seemed to have forgotten. last year's dj was a revelation, getting boards over 3 guys at a time. this year he's not even bothering to box out half the time. it's not good.
also wanna add that dj has looked like an absolute nuclear disaster getting the ball deep in the post all year. he really needs to work on his handsiness.

the defensive pressure this team applies when they attack whatever side smith/lance/rivers are on is pretty freaking real.
the pressure when they attack crawford's/pierce's side not nearly so much. doc really has to learn how to play them less together as a tandem. i'd say luc would be a great choice to take about 5-10 of pierce's minutes a game, especially given how he's looked thus far.

How did this team ever have 10 point leads over the Warriors in the 4th Quarter?

They are doing a very good job on Redick, and Neto has been playing well. Not sure about that being a shooting foul though

That should have been a foul though

blake's pretty tired and jj has been really off/bad. not sure we got this unless redick comes in hot in the 4th.

btw blake has been incredible tonight. he's been great on both sides. someone really needs to come alive or something if we want to win.

why the fk is doc playing pierce in 2nd game of a back to back? pierce has been horrific all season and he wants him to guard hayward tonight? holy christ

A couple days ago I saw some of your fans complaining about how awful Crawford has been this year... at first I thought it was an overreaction, but yah he has looked terrible tonight. I can see where the frustration is coming from. On the other hand Blake has been straight beasting!

jj guarding hayward is not the answer to getting back into this game. unfortunately with crawford in the game, not like we have a choice. thanks, doc

Our opponents come to play every night while the Clippers are typically going through the motions.

crawford looks terrible virtually every night. the worst thing is he gets major minutes, especially in crunch time when it hurts the most.
but yeah, blake's been monstrous. i don't see him doing too much more this game though, there's just no way he's got any energy left.

Crawford has lost the support of the majority of Clippers fans these days. Still a few straglers that are fine with him having such a large role, but that is not a majority opinion.
