Some good signs to finish the 1st. We look hungry which is good.

Our bench looks much improved. We are simply focussing on cutting and layups instead of our usual 3pt brick-a-thon.

team looking ok. you get the feeling that the bench unit comes and goes as josh smith comes and goes.

also, early in 1st jamal takes and makes a contested 18 footer.

mike smith: "jamal makes those like they're layups!" like uh, no. not unless you mean the way i make layups, because even if literally stand under the basket i can't make more than 50%. stop being dumb, mike.

CP3 trying to draw contact for the foul. Anthony Davis grabbed his knee and is being carried off to the locker room. :nonono: I hope it's not too serious, but it didn't look good for him.

Josh Smith and Lance made back to back quality plays for each other. We need more of this.

Rebounding Deficit

The Clippers' telecast just flashed a graphic stating that the Clippers have not outrebounded an opponent in any game this year including this one.

During the post-game interview, Austin Rivers said they were disappointed in their performance in the previous game. Uh...the whole season has been a clustered mess. He goes on to say that if the team plays hard that they can win. This coupled with Griffin's previous comments emphasizing the lack of being "together" is just an indictment of, not only the coach, but the players themselves. An easy win over a struggling opponent does not make for a true sign of competitive edge.

Corey Maggette then goes on to say that the team needs to play in transition. Well, that's just dandy, but like rebounding and defense, you need to consistently perform in the halfcourt to win in the postseason. The goal is to win championships lest we forget.

Was at the game.

Got nervous for AD.
Glad it's just a bruise.

Play Lance.

He's a play maker. He has to feel comfortable in order to make plays. He shouldn't still be walking around on egg shells.
I enjoyed him tonight.

i really wanted lance to work out as a starter but sometimes you gotta let players run free to do their thing. he is no exception.

also the thing about playing "together." i'd say if you want to look like you have played "together" before then perhaps you should practice more often, team.

Lance really needs to be our sole ball handler for the bench squad. Austin is better at cutting away from the ball then with the ball. Somehow Jamal needs to be a spot up shooter. Lance is so great and fun to watch when he grabs a rebound and runs in transition.

i think we can all see what lance can do if he's able to free-lance (get it?!) and do his thing. the team just looks different off the bench. you gotta live with the crazy turnovers i think, because that's what makes him happy and active and in perpetual motion.

also it might be about 15 games in, but i guess better late than never for him to start developing chemistry with josh smith and austin. but i think when those guys are dialed in the team can do some fun things on defense.

I'm glad we were able to win last night and I hope we get more games like that out of this group. Now I hope we can string some wins together. I saw the Davis injury and I feel bad for him. Hopefully it isn't too bad.
