Redick is averaging 20.6 points while shooting 54.8 percent from 3-point range over a five-game stretch. Paul is averaging 15.5 points and 10.3 assists in six games since returning from a rib injury while anchoring a defense that's held opponents to 41.1 percent shooting over the last four.
"I think defensively we're starting to get it. And it just makes us a better offensive team, right?," coach Doc Rivers said. "I don't think our team connected the dots early on that to be a good offensive team, you have to be a good defensive team because you have to get stops, you have to get stops in a row."
Defense has been the Spurs' calling card all season, as they're yielding a league-low 88.2 points per game and rank near the top in opposing field goal percentage (41.8). They limited Washington to 43 points and 36.4 percent shooting in the second half of Wednesday's 114-95 triumph that eclipsed the club's 22-game home win streak in 2010-11.
"We showed a lot more aggressiveness, a lot more contact and a lot more competitiveness in the second half, starting with transition 'D'," coach Gregg Popovich said. "That changed the game for us."
The offense has been rolling lately as well, with San Antonio shooting 52.6 percent and averaging 108.5 points over its last eight. Kawhi Leonard has hit at a 60.5 percent clip while averaging 23.7 points over the past three, highlighted by Wednesday's 27-point performance.

it would be real good to get a win against a legitimate team rather than the wins so far
a win is a win, and you would rather have beat the nets, twolves, blazers, etc than lost to them but it would be good to see the clippers play up to the level of an elite team like the spurs

Well this is a hard game to judge the team on being on the road against a stingy defensive SA team that is 22-5 and playing about as well as even GS despite GS's edge in wins.
One thing that is good is that I'd rather be saying that the team is not playing that great and is 16-10 than to be saying that the team is maximizing itself and is 16-10. The latter would be a bit of a sealed fate, while at least the former has more hope to it.

cp3's been really finding his usual self on defense for the past couple games. his passing though, man i don't remember him making so many poor decisions for this long. he's like 3 notches below from where he normally is when it comes to smart passing.

Looked good, Blake's shot is on, defending Kawhi pretty well, Blake taking advantage of switches and getting Kawhi on him by going down low and going to the hook. Spurs put Kawhi on Redick which has helped them, but Blake was able to find him for an open three off a drive and slightly wild pass.

Still trying to figure out what exactly the perfect balance of minimizing the bad and maximizing the good of Josh Smith is. I still don't like him at C, and I would still prefer if offensively he would play more on the baseliness as a finisher off dump offs and minimize some shots he takes, but I don't know.
He also sometimes tries to do too much, and that's just him, I don't know.

He is showing today he can be a really good rim protector for the second unit, he just tries to do too much on offense as you said, and that's something I'm not sure is fixable
