we need to start Josh. I like Luc in there regardless of his offensive production because it will turn our front court into a defensive behimoth between Luc - Smoove - DJ. the first sub off the bench however, should be Wes for Luc and Wes needs 30 minutes a night from here on. JJ needs to play more minutes, Doc needs to trade Jamal right now for something other than an inefficient volume shooter with low %s.

This is a huge blow for the Clippers. They could be under .500 by the time Griffin returns healthy. They'll have no other choice but to ride these next few games without him, meaning DeAndre will have to step up and fulfill his promise of becoming a true superstar.

DJ's Spotlight

Yeah, this is DeAndre's opportunity to get the recognition he's wanted so much, but as it has been mentioned before, he does not put in the work for sustained excellence. He'll probably get amped up and play more energetically, but I don't anticipate whatever boost in production we get from him will last. Still, it should serve as more motivation for him to be better and maybe care more about things outside of the after-game dinner reservations.

If Smith is starting though, it might be better for balance to start Wesley Johnson

I thought about that and ended up arguing for starter's minutes for Wes instead because the bench of Pablo-Jamal-Luc-Pierce-Cole looks like a suicide both offensively and defensively. we would have no identity either. Jamal will shoot with no concern for the flow of the game, Pablo/Luc/Pierce can't shoot from the perimeter and Cole can't run with that small lineup. and I can't see where lance would fit back in unless we completely shut down Luc.

but if Wes starts and comes out early to return with the second unit, Yeah I can also see that work. just hope Doc is smart enough to see what combination is best for our team.

Josh is looking rusty and out of place. hope he can get his rythme back on soon.

josh looks like a guy who's never played with the starters. like, ever at any point in his life. guess that's what happens when you like canceling practices, doc.

also jordan looks like a disaster out there on offense and defense. i wonder if doc will ever hold him accountable for anything.

aldrich is a better passer than i thought. he also FIGHTS for boards and on defense, something we don't have enough of. every time i think he's screwed he somehow manages to recover and contest, even if he gets scored on.

Doc, can you please give the backup point spot to Prigioni now...for good? The guy makes plays out there and plays the position the right way.
