Game 39: Miami (22-16) vs. Los Angeles (25-13)

DJ's ironman streak as well as the Clippers' current 9-game winning streak could both be on the line. It might be good to actually beat a team over .500 for a change. Plus, maybe we can exact some vengeance on the Heat for their design team saddling us with our horrid logo.[tweet]https://twitter.com/latbbolch/status/687013915788591104[/tweet]

for the record, I will NEVER attend rams' game in LA as long as my RAIDERS are denied of the access to LA. I personally think Stan Kroenke is a scumbag and a product of silverspoon and I tend to despise those, even Mark Davis but at least he is humble. **** Jerry Jones for cock blocking Raiders back to LA but karma's a bitch and Raiders will probably end up in San Antonio and cutting into the Cowgirls' fanbase anyhow.
anywho, I am glad to see Ranma making game threads. I am embarrassed for not contributing more lately as I have gotten way too busy with my office which I don't understand as my income has been decimated... a whole lot of work for nothing I guess. but that's okay. things always have a way to balance things out in the end.... right? gotta save some for my kids' college fund... damn it. I never gamble but bought a pair of powerball tickets. I understand the mathematical odds but it doesn't hurt to dream....
well... my #1 employee was accused of cheating on her husband with me from her mother in law because she has been spending way too much time with me, and another employee just got into a massive and serious car accident just tonight, and I am not sure if she can show up to work for the foreseeable future. **** me.
thanks Ranma for picking up the slacks. you rock man.

Not sure if I'm the only one that does this….but I always check our schedule this year compared to last.
I do it just to see what win totals are possible.
Last year's team was 25-13 at this point.
Dont wanna have to go 14-1 in our last 15 to hit 56+ wins….
but…hey, not out of the realm of possibility like it was maybe a month ago.

Geez...I'm sorry for all the turmoil you're going through, Neddy. I hope your employee injured in the accident makes a full and speedy recovery. Hang in there, man. Things have to get better.
I'm not doing much with the game threads and I don't always get to them, so I haven't been as prolific as either you or mkwest. Don't worry too much about making the game threads. There are more important priorities in life, but we definitely appreciate your committed efforts.

Glad to see the Clips figuring it out, hope to see much more success in the postseason last year as I was rooting hard for them. Let's hope for a good game.

Can't we just put DJ in for the first minute of the game then sub him out? We did that for the last game of the season a couple years ago lol. I don't want to see him miss a game

.
I'm torn...
I rooted for both teams when they were here, I just rooted a little harder for the Raiders. I stuck with the Raiders when they went back to Oakland and the Rams moved to the city I was born in (St.Louis) so I still had a rooting interest in the team.
Now the Raiders will probably stay up north and the Rams will be playing 10 minutes from my condo...I'm not sure I can continue to root for a bay area team if I have a team to cheer for right down the street.
Time will tell, but I'm going to try really hard to be a die-hard Rams fan this year...but I'm keeping all of my Raider gear just in case it doesn't feel "right".
Oh yea...this is a Clippers forum...go Clips, beat the Heat...and so on...

Last time DJ missed a game I believe he was in the hospital with ammonia. Sucks Dragic is out wanted a full on test.

First, a little inside look at the Clippers 9-game, 8-game Griffin-less, winning streak from Coach Nick of BBall Breakdown:

Now, a quick history lesson. What you are seeing is the Clippers records against elite teams (1st through 3rd seed), playoff teams (4th through 8th) and lottery teams (teams who missed the playoffs) ever since Doc Rivers took over. Prepare to be amazed...
2013-14: Elite: 5-8 | Playoff: 18-10 | Lottery: 34-7
2014-15: Elite: 4-10 | Playoff: 16-11 | Lottery: 36-5
2015-16: Elite: 0-6 | Playoff: 6-5 | Lottery: 20-2 (39 games in)
To be noted as a title contender, a team must have at least a 0.500 percentage against elite teams, between 0.600 and 0.650 against playoff teams, and 0.700 or higher - maybe a perfect record - against lottery teams...
Elite Record: 9-24 (0.272)
Playoff Record: 40-26 (0.606)
Lottery Record: 96-14 (0.872)
At least we now know why the media is quick to label the Clippers a playoff pretender...

We're going to find out today, once and for all, just how valuable DeAndre Jordan truly is. If the Clippers lose this game on a blow out, the front office will have made the right decision during the Dallas spectacle.

With DeAndre being sick, I hope he rests for a full recovery. I'd like to give him credit for attempting to play but I'm too jaded to not suspect that he's either doing something goofy to the detriment of his health or just flaking.

DJ has never not suited up he took pride in his ironman record. This is the same thing that got him years ago and like mentioned with his asthma it could be deadly if he pushed to hard.
