I wonder if Thaddeus Young is the other trade being worked on that is holding up the whole Channing Frye situation. Technically Lance + Wilcox + 2nd also works for Young, but I'm assuming if that is something they are working on, Brooklyn is asking for a 1st and the Clippers don't want to do it.

Theoretically he can be a fairly good defender, good length and athleticism, he's actually a good corner 3PT shooter despite not shooting them anymore and you can't put smaller players on him because he'll kill them inside. 16-17 pts/36 guy, rebounds well for a forward when playing either forward spot.

Forgetting the 3PT shot, he is a good long mid-range shooter also, but you obviously don't want too much of that. I'm just wondering if he's settled into being more of a 4 because that makes him more of a 6th man 4/3 on this team not a starting 3.

That's odd. I know we had some trouble with embedded YouTube videos last week, which seems to have been resolved. The tweets are showing up on my side. Maybe it's a browser thing, so they may show up in Firefox, Chrome, Internet Explorer, or even Safari instead of whichever of those you normally use. I believe Don Tommy had similar issues with not being able to view embedded tweets in the past.

I'm using Mozilla Firefox 44.0.2. They're not showing up at all. I went back to past posts containing tweets, same result. I even temporarily disabled AdBlock Plus and NoScript, same result.

I've lost the ability to view tweets on RealGM completely. You'll have to begin posting text versions or a link to the tweets until a fix can be made.

EDIT: I can see them on Opera just fine, but I'd prefer sticking with Firefox because it's my trusted one. I'm afraid that if I use a different browser, bad things will happen. For example, when I used Google Chrome, it conflicted with my audio driver and crashed my computer. Had to uninstall it and reinstall my driver to fix the issue.

I'm using Chrome and everything is fine. I also have Firefox 44.0.2 up and running and the tweets are not showing up there either; my Firefox browser was updated recently to the same version you're using and, given that you are suddenly experiencing issues, I'm pretty sure that Mozilla's update to their signature browser is causing the problem with tweets not displaying. I also checked with Microsoft's Internet Explorer and the tweets are showing up just fine there as well.

I recommend using Chrome. If not, Internet Explorer also works as well. You also confirmed that it works on Opera.


p.s. That's odd about your issues with your audio driver conflicting with Chrome. Have you tried Googling to see what the issue might be with that particular driver? I came across a reddit feed regarding a possibly related issue. You still have Internet Explorer and Opera as options, if you are inclined? Have you tried Safari for Windows? There's also the Vivaldi browser, but that is a Beta with advanced features.

Another option, Wammy, is to continue using Firefox as your primary browser and having a dedicated browser in a separate window, like Internet Explorer, to view the tweets in this forum until Mozilla fixes the issue. I primarily use Chrome but have Firefox opened as a secondary window to watch streams while I perform tasks on my primary window/browser.

Been discussing the Frye deal on Twitter the last week or so.

Makes sense to cover for Blake while he is out and then things get interesting. If I were Doc Frye gives me the weapon I need to stagger Blake and DJ. This allows me to pair Frye and DJ off the bench. you could go for Frye and Blake vs. second units and hope the lack of defense from the 4/5 spot is somewhat negated by the other team's limited bench unit. This also allows Blake to get back into the groove while be surrounded by some shooters and playing with the paint open for him.

I like it, but its not solving any major issues, at least until Blake comes back.

It's funny. I was thinking about the pros and cons of a trade package from Orlando for Blake Griffin before the All-Star break. The Magic package included:

• Aaron Gordon
• Tobias Harris
• 2016 1st-Round Pick
• 2018 1st-Round Pick

I'm not saying I would have pulled the trigger, mind you, but it was a package that held appeal to me. However, I quickly dismissed it because I thought Gordon and Harris were both valued higher by Orlando--especially with Griffin nearing free agency--but as it turns out, the Magic were not only willing to include Gordon as the centerpiece of a package deal for Griffin, but they also gave up Harris for arguably little return in Brandon Jennings and Ersan Ilyasova.

I'm sure the Magic value their first-round picks a lot in their rebuild movement, but again, given how little value Harris returned, a pick or two along with Gordon might not sound as lopsided for a young franchise player whom I suspect Orlando was confident it could re-sign in Griffin. Let's not forget, BG is a fairly finished product while Gordon is a work-in-progress with a more limited offensive game. Plus, this deal would hurt the Clippers' floor spacing with Gordon's more limited range.

In light of the reported deal the Clippers have in hand with Orlando, this proposal could have easily been expanded to include Channing Frye and Lance Stephenson. I got to say, it does present an intriguing proposal if a sign-and-trade for Kevin Durant can't be worked out. Then again, I'd still prefer not to deal Griffin and would rather include DeAndre Jordan in a sign-and-trade for Durant.

I'm warming up to the Frye trade, I said before that the Magic should be paying us to take his contract, but him shooting well and playing extended minutes this year, plus the tendency of smart teams trying to acquire players with years left instead of shedding guys for expirings because of the cap jump, has made me be ok with the trade. I really hope they don't give any real asset for him though, if they give the Brooklyn pick I'm gonna be angry. Crawford+Wilcox works and that's what I hope ends up happening, but we all know Doc will do it for Lance or not do it at all.

I don't really like Thad Young to be honest, specially at the price he's gonna come if he does. He can't play SF in today's NBA, and there's no room for him to play much at PF. Similar for Ryan Anderson too.

I'm kind of scared for tomorrow's deadline, half expecting we do something incredibly stupid.

Wojnarowski seems to be off a bit on the contract numbers for both Frye and Stephenson. I've seen two sources say that Frye has 2 more seasons after this one and Stephenson effectively is in the last year of his deal since there is a team option for next season.

The Los Angeles Clippers are pushing closer on a deal to acquire Orlando Magic forward Channing Frye but want to finish exploring a larger trade scenario before finalizing an agreement, league sources told The Vertical.

Frye is enthusiastic about the chance to join the Clippers, league sources said. Nevertheless, Cleveland also has been discussing a deal for Frye, and could still be aggressive in pursuing him prior to completion of a Clippers trade.

The Clippers need to include Lance Stephenson's contract into the package for Frye, and told the Magic they need until Wednesday to finish pursuing what it is a long-shot larger deal, league sources said. As part of the deal for Frye, the Clippers would include Stephenson, C.J. Wilcox and a future second-round pick, league sources said.

Stephenson would never play a game for the Magic. If the trade is completed, Orlando plans to waive Stephenson and let him become a free agent, league sources said. For Orlando, that deal would mostly allow the team to save money on the final year of Frye's $8 million annual salary.

I dont see Anderson coming here or us wanting to pay him this summer. Frye is reasonable and could allow us to add another wing depending on the cost.
