Fire Doc Rivers

This franchise is going to be worse off than it was in the '80s by the time Doc finally isn't around to hand out our draft picks like candy anymore. The brutal reality that we need to face is that we are a treadmill team. We continue to hover around the 3rd-5th range in the standings every year and lose in the second round. Yet Doc keeps making "win-now" panic moves as if we're one piece away from being a Spurs/Warriors type of team, these moves are never enough to move the needle, and he has to keep giving away the farm because everyone knows he's desperate and incompetent. Does anyone really believe that we were a Jeff Green away from a title? The sad part is that even keeping the picks wouldn't change things because Doc can't draft or develop young talent either.
And that's just the damage he's done as a GM. As a coach, I know now why Celtics fans always bitched about his rotations. Crawford, Pierce and Austin get guaranteed minutes while the players Doc traded the farm for rot on the bench. Doc spends more time and energy on screaming at the refs after legitimate foul calls than he does on paying attention to the game and doing his job. He's the only coach in history to have blown two 3-1 series leads. He's blown five 3-2 series leads. He's been outcoached by the likes of Mark Jackson, Scott Brooks and Kevin McHale. At what point does he stop getting all the credit for the ring that Ainge, Pierce, Garnett and Allen dragged him to?
It's not all Doc's fault, but he needs to be shown the door in favor of a legitimate GM and a legitimate coach who are two separate people. Then, we need to let the GM decide how the team should be rebuilt when we inevitably go out in round 2 again.
