Moment Of Truth

This is a must-win for the Clippers. If they lose one more game to the Warriors, I predict they will automatically get swept in the playoffs. Clips must tie the series to prevent any hope of a psychological advantage to their arch rival.

Before the All-Star Break, Clippers were miserable against the top 3 seeded teams in each conference. Now that the All-Star Break is over, and the march to the playoffs has begun, the Clippers have finally gotten a tally in the win column against the San Antonio Spurs. Yes, Kawhi Leonard was injured; yes, the Spurs were in a malaise slippage due to lack of practice. But the Clippers need to understand that whenever a team's vital cog goes down, it's a free game; you got to steal one. Expecting perfection has been the Clipper's fool's gold. They need to learn how to win games and not show pity to their opponents, even if they are short-handed.

Andrew Bogut is out. Festus Ezili is out. Jason Thompson is in, and the Clippers have surprising won games against the Kings with Jason in the lineup. This is their chance to prevent a season series defeat.

Just one win, and the Dub's chances of a predictable playoff sweep go down the drain.

Just one more win at The Oracle, and the Clippers will have tied the season series.

Just one more win in Game 1 of their destined 2nd round meeting, and the Clippers will have finally proven themselves the talk of the western conference.

First, the refs screwed us on the non-call for Redick's and-1, then they T him up for calling them out on it. Effin' zebras.

Where's the Defense and Composure?

I wish we could apply as much defensive pressure as the Warriors do. Our defense is horrible tonight. I don't know if Jeff Green is nervous or what, but he's been fumbling the ball a lot throughout this game.

In my only criticism of Chris Paul tonight, I don't get why he slowed things down on that possession to let the Golden State defenders lock him up instead of pushing it for a shot in transition. He expected the Warriors to just let him go iso 1-on-1 in the final seconds. That's a mistake against a team known for its ability to disrupt. We have to rely less on conventions in our play.

We just don't have the defensive intensity.
Green is out-centering DJ right now. DJ should be embarrassed.
I'm happy with Jeff Green getting a lot of possessions. We need to work him into our plays and get him to find his role.

Neutralizing Redick

In addition to exploiting our shortcomings this game, the Warriors have done a good job of locking up J.J. Redick as Klay Thompson is going off while we focus our attention primarily on stopping Stephen Curry. Kerr is outcoaching Doc tonight by a country mile.
