Clippers Looking to Shave the Beard

Pierce has been activated to ensure a Clippers victory. Whether Doc plays him at all, or is used as an attempt to psyche out the Rockets, has yet to be seen.

We do know this: Doc wants to avoid a 3-game losing streak at any cost.

why the hell does doc keep posting jeff green up? i know we wanted to lean on the garbage excuse when he first was traded here that he didn't know any plays but it's been weeks now.

posting up isn't his game. he doesn't have any game for that matter but at least don't make him do something he's utterly worthless at.

Green isn't bad posting up as long as it is a good matchup, and he's helped with creating shome shots from the post while not turning it over. It's good to at least have that as another option in the offense.

I don't think the team will ever make it something they overly go to, but not a bad thing to use every once in a while.

Austin Rivers dribbles into a double team after just crossing halfcourt and calls a timeout. DJ chides him a bit for wasting the timeout.

well i must have missed pretty much any possession ever for the clips where he's had any kind of positive impact. cause every time i see him post up it's been a horror show.

and i mean literally missed any of them because i have never seen him make a bucket while posting up and majority of the time it's an awful shot he was baited into.

you know, i'm pretty harsh on houston and harden and a lot of their fans. and i have a particular disdain for james harden that i don't have for many other players.

but i have to think i'm kind of justified. how the hell can they expect to win anything meaningful with a "superstar" who is THAT clueless on defense?

Clippers are playing with fire. They really don't want to have another 3-game losing streak. They currently have two this season.

They're also playing to prevent a season series defeat. Rockets own the tiebreaker 2-1. If Clips can win tonight, they can impose a 50-50 scenario where the Rockets won't have their number in the playoffs, should the two teams meet again.
