well, this puts a little damper on the offseason.
it's like subtraction by sticking around.

Well as long as he's in super shape and contributes positively, but he's only good as a stretch 4 now, and I'd rather play Brandon Bass at the 4 than Pierce, even give Brice a shot

I think he can still contribute. I'm happy to see him back. I wouldn't be surprised if he hit some big shots here and there in the playoffs.

Well I'm happy that he finally made his decision. I'm curious if he plays with us for a full season. Hopefully we don't have to play Pierce much this season.

Pierce Explains Why He Decided On One More Year“I think as older players, once you see that drive fall off in the summer, then I think it's time to hang it up,” Pierce said. “Early in the summer, I really didn't feel like getting up, going to the gym, working out, but as the summer progressed and I thought about the year and I thought about the players, and I was like, last season kind of left a bad taste in my mouth with how it ended – how I played – so I just wanted to kind of go out on my own terms and have one more opportunity to win a championship with this group.”
Pierce said winning a championship home in Los Angeles for the Clippers “would be monumental,” and he thought about being a part of that.
“That's something that drove me from August, starting in August on,” Pierce said.

yesterday he played against Denver. how much will he play in the remaining regular season and playoff games ?
Pierce played only 170 minutes in the season.

After 7 points (a 3, a classic step back J & a dunk) in ~15 minutes during a farcical win VS the Cavs tonight, he has 26,376 points.
20 more points during the last 12 games & he passes Hondo & retires as #15 in freaking NBA history.
24 more points & he retires with a nice round 26,400 points.
I predict that he will hit an occasional big shot for the Clips in the POs - if Doc gives him some minutes.
