The reserves are getting sloppy with the ball.

Neddy the reserves weren't sharp to start the 4th. Now they seem to be knocking down shots.

thanks, I came back home and watched 2 or 3 straight 3s go down, and Speights made both shots I saw.
but now they are missing shots again, lol. only a preseason I know, but looks like this team maybe the deepest we have seen ever.

I guess the Kings want to make a game of this now.

And we hold on to win this one. Can't wait for the regular season to start. The starters looked solid tonight.

Kind of looks like the starters are gonna be one of the best 5 man units in the league again, while the bench is still sinking most of the good they do :/

ya but i guess on the bright side the ceiling for our starters is incredibly high, considering how well the team played with paul pierce in blake's place.
and while we will really miss cole aldrich, at the least it seems like speights will never be phased out for lesser players the way cole often was. i just don't know how the hell the team is supposed to handle crawford as backup SF or backup facilitator over 82 games/playoffs.

tbh I'd rather he be the bench SF and have Felton play alongside him and Austin, than having him be the playmaking SG and Austin as the PG while Felton rots at the end of the bench. I'm not a fan of Speights anchoring that bench defense so I'd kinda be ok if Bass permanently takes his place, but I guess he'll play as long as he is good offensively.
But yeah, hopefully the team's defensive improvement is still there with Blake instead of Pierce (it has to right? RIGHT?)

yeah i agree. but then the logic of using what should be an emergency backup SF as your actual backup SF (when you have alan anderson and wes johnson available, hell i'd even rather let pierce play there) just eats at my brain.

Yup, I've been thinking this for the last few years, and never said it because I'd look like a dick, but this year more than any other, an injury to Jamal Crawford would benefit the team greatly.

Every year I hope he gets traded.

you see that's why i don't say that, because from all accounts he's a stand up guy. so i merely wish for him to decide to retire and dedicate the rest of his life to charitable work!

Yeah I'm not wishing it on him or anything, just reflecting on how much better the team would fit just by subtracting him. Like I said, I know it's a dickish thing to say, it just comes into my mind every so often :/
