I'm a bit worried about this game, to be honest, although I felt the same about several recent ones.
Can't expect the starters to get early 20+ point leads every single night, so I hope our bench steps up a bit, and by bench I mostly mean Austin. His focus and body language were horrible against Brooklyn. He did seem to gain some composure in the 4th and got a few assists, but there was really no excuse for looking so miserable in a game that was already over after 12 minutes.

It'd be important to get a W tonight, after this we have a b2b where we play two teams that have traditionally given us problems, then a trap game on Monday against Toronto, before we go on a 6 game road trip around the East. I can see us going 5-4 or something like that in those games, so hopefully we get this one and we have some room.

Grizzlies are always a fun matchup, and Vince has been killing it.
It would be nice to run them out of the building also, but I never expect that. Parsons has struggled in his return so far, so hopefully he doesn't decide to pick it up tonight. I don't know if I agree with Marc taking 4 3PA/G as I just don't know who he is spacing the floor for by being so far from the basket. I would prefer to stick him close to the basket while putting other guys around him to space the floor.
It would make more sense if they had Brandan Wright healthy and playing PF, and then Marc can help space for attacking with a high pick and roll with the 1/4. I will give Fizdale props though in trying to change things up. Grizzlies are 12th in the league in 3PAR with 31.2% of their FGA coming from 3PT range, so that's a big change for them.

I would be more surprised by a blowout win than by a Grizzlies loss. If it was really -1200 I would have gone 5 minutes down the road to the South Point Casino and put some money on the Grizz. It's not about talent, I believe we are far more talented, it's about the history between the two teams

Yep, just checked and it's -1400, and +800 for the Grizzlies. Tempting... but if the Clippers lost and I bet against them I would be banned from this forum!

Hey, if we win and you can make some extra money on the side, I think that's a win-win.

I know what I like about the way Luc is playing lately. There's no triple threat position, no shot fake, he gets the ball in the corner and he attacks the rim. That's why he is blowing past defenders and scoring on his drives

i hate when the announcers try to be apologists for players when they're actually just bad shooters.

I know Blake is the only Clipper to show up in this game, but Felton and Junior Rivers look like ish out there.

Nah, man. It's a small sample size that is reinforced by coincidence. The team has been low on defensive effort and focus for the past few games and it comes back to bite it when the other team is geared up to playing us. Plus, Austin Rivers was bound to shoot us out of games with his tunnel-vision approach. Besides, these losses may give us the necessary rude awakening in order to return back to form.

austin's regressing and the team really seems to miss wes johnson. starters needed to be better than they were, too.
