well, it's sucks.i mean like someone punching you in face and people around laughs repeatedly.

We were good enough to preserve our 4th seed in the west even last year when Blake's absence been envisioned longer than this. so, our change of survival is promising at least.

But, one thing i'm deeply wandering about this team that, what if we going to be still effective even without Griffin on the court just like last year? Is that going to force our hand to trade Griffin stronger than ever?

And most importantly, Is Blake will ever been able to comeback like the superior player of 2015 Playoffs mode 2 years ago? or are we missed that train? Questions... Questions...

It's always something with Blake the last few years. But at least he's gone early in the season. Barring any other alterations with equipment managers, it'll be alright. He'll have plenty of time to rev up for the playoffs when he comes back.

CP3 now has no choice but to be aggressive with Griffin out.

Not the news I wanted to hear but at least this is happening early. I can't get over how his knee injury was mismanaged last year, so I'm hoping that won't be an issue this time.

That's what worries me more than the actual procedure. I just have no faith that Blake is in the best possible hands.

No offense, Guyver, but every time I see "Griffin punches equipment managers," it feels more like a comic insult. It's kind of like saying, Griffin only gets into altercations with equipment managers. He also got into it with a fan a few years ago, yet people don't want to acknowledge that one simply because there was no evidence.

Really, it should be altercations with anyone in general. His teammates, front office employees, and especially the owner. Equipment managers should not be the only group who needs to be concerned with Griffin.

I will say this, though: all this does is open up the hot take flood gates. We're going to see mentions of Doc starting Paul Pierce and his son, accusations of favoritism and nepotism will be highly abundant for the next three to six weeks.

Additionally, Griffin is getting a second chance. This is his opportunity to prove his maturity off-the-court. Will he snap at someone when he hears gossip about "Clippers should trade Griffin, they're better off without him", or will he learn from the great psychologist and Big Fundamental Tim Duncan to be poise and stoic? The Clippers chose him as their no. 1 draft pick; they've fought tooth and nail to keep him following the Toronto incident.

The Clippers will manage without him. Can Griffin?

No offense taken...it was intended to be as such. Just some humor to bring levity to bad news. The real fan know Griffin's problems off court problems, though.

Anyway, we'll see if they can at least hold that 3-4 seed without him because HOU and MEM are looking really good right now. They needed to play perfect basketball with no injuries to get that 1 or 2 seed. That was pretty much out the window after the last few weeks even before he was out.

I just hope it isn't anything more serious. If he needs a micro fracture procedure I'd be very worried because basically nobody is the same after that.

I'm hoping Bass gets more minutes because he is the only other true power forward on the roster. If Doc goes too small they will get crushed on the glass

The Ringer NBA guy said this injury could mean he signs with another team after this season.

Some interesting stats though, that he went from scoring half his baskets on dunks to 1/4 to 1/8 now.

Considers Blake one of the best playmaking big men in the league but says he can't get that many opportunities to be playmaker with Paul on the court.

No, no, this is Paul Pierce's time to shine.

This sucks, Blake has really been having struggles with injuries lately, which is quite worrying. This can be an issue with the teams seeding at the end of the season which can really be a difference maker.

I don't want to lose Blake due to incompetence in the organization, but it seems likely at this point. No wonder he's been less aggressive on the court, dude doesn't trust the medical staff, like he's trying to prolong his career. Might be looking into it too much though. I hope he comes back in January, plays well, and we shop him around before the deadline, take the temperature.

I'm sure the Clippers medical staff aren't the only ones monitoring his health. I think everybody involved knows he is physically on the decline. Blake has become less aggressive around the hoop because a) he's lost a lot of athleticism over the last few years and b) the risk involved in killing himself over highlights isn't worth the results when 2 point is 2 points. When was the last time you saw him catch an ally oop?

He had to improve his jumper because that's just how his game has to adapt to be relevant in the NBA.

I just saw the thread bumped but thought that he was having knee surgery again, my heart dropped

2 weeks without Blake or CP3 should see us drop games but judging by our schedule. We can maybe go 3-2 in our next 5 and would've probably gone 4-1 with CP3 and Blake so not that much of a drop off.

I'm ready to do this guys, just don't get injured anymore :(
