He once said that the only way he'd do the dunk contest is if he made the ASG. Will he be participating on Saturday night too?

Well deserved. He has become the type of player whose true value is now reflected in wins instead of stats, so I'm really happy to see him get the proper recognition at last.

I'm really happy for DJ as well, this is a real honor. In my opinion I feel DJ could have been an all star the past few seasons. Since Chris and Blake have been injured DJ got the nod for the Clippers. Still I'm happy for him.

I think if CP3 weren't injured, he would've been a lock. It's a good thing for DJ, though. Very deserving of a spot the last couple years but with Paul and Griffin generally voted in when not injured, he was always the odd man out. Very happy for him...being a self made man as a 2nd round draft pick to becoming an all-star and all-nba first team. I remember his first few years under Dunleavy he looked so lost out there. He's come a long way.

There's a lot of outrage on the General Boards about DJ over Gobert. Even I can admit that I would've picked Gobert, but still, that doesn't diminish that DJ is an All-Star caliber player. He is deserving of it.

seems like a seaon too late, but still good to see a clip make the all star.
as Blake said, I would love to see DJ in a slam dunk competition now.

I'm rooting for EJ to win the 3-point contest.
Update: Klay Thompson is eliminated in the first round and now Eric Gordon has a chance at the long-distance crown.

He was my pick going into it. He needs to pace himself a little better in the 2nd round, but he's the best natural shooter remaining.
Klay...

Despite choking on the last rack in both the 2nd and final rounds, Eric Gordon, is the new 3-point-contest champion on his former homecourt floor.

Yikes! Talk about choking. Steph Curry missed all 9 of his halfcourt shots to up the donation total to $500,000 so Shaq and Craig Sager's son had to come in and procedurally finish off the showcase.
