Blake off the bench

What do you guys think about Blake coming off the bench? CP3, JJ, Luc, DJ and Paul Pierce were able to win a lot of games last season when Blake was down. Paul Pierce of all people.

We need to be more aggressive. This Blake screen for CP3, perfect pass to Blake, hesitation, pass back to CP3, Blake screen again for CP3, perfect pass to Blake again, Blake shoots and bricks......has got to be draining for CP3. All of this is happening while Blake is pretty much standing there while CP3 is running around in circles.

Who should start for Blake? I'd like to believe in Wesley Johnson but if he can't get his stroke going, then it could be Austin or even Casspi if we can get him.
Spread the floor and let DJ and CP3 run the pick n roll.

Blake averages 34 minutes but acts like he plays 44 minutes. He's gassed out in the 4th.

I'd like to see Blake come in at the 6 min mark, play like 9 minutes in a row, rest 3 minutes, then play the rest of the half. That is a good 30 minutes for now. You can adjust for the playoffs. We can help him save himself even more. A bench lineup of Blake, Speights, Jamal, Felton with Wesley/Austin. Let Blake start posting up and stop bricking all these mid range jumpers.

Thoughts?

Great idea. We should most definitely do it. We would win out the rest of the year then go 16-0 in the playoffs and then go 82-0 next year and then 16-0 again in the playoffs then go 82-0 then 16-0 then 82-0 then 16-0 then 82-0 then 16-0 then 82-0 then 16-0 until the end of time.

First and foremost, we have to chill on the name calling.

Blake will be a free-agent this summer. Having him come off of the bench is not the way to persuade him into re-signing.

Doc has been staggering the minutes. Blake has generally been playing with the bench. Playing Paul Pierce any significant minutes is a terrible idea, he needs to stay on the bench.

The way the team can do it is to use Wesley Johnson as a small ball 4, or even use Bass. Blake can come out a little early and you can run Paul/Redick/Luc/Johnson/Jordan until the bench comes back in with Blake, then the starters with Johnson can come back in, the Blake can come back in and finish with them.

Blake coming off the bench in general though? That's an awful idea. If Blake is gassed playing 34 mpg though, that's more of an issue with him, and that's just a problem in general for your star player.
