Yeah guys , don't exaggerate now, he is still bad in defense , he can play some regular team D because he has good understanding of how basic offence is ran everywhere . But am little bit surprised how quickly he has adopted to NBA style of offence, seems that this comes natural with him, he stills needs more cutting from his teammates. I know him he is very nervous ,dimes come naturally, that is ok, but he needs to find a way to score too while playing limited minutes. You will see , if he continues to be such a offensive threat with ball in his hands , sooner or later teams will start to doubling him or to play aggressive glue to the body defense on him, and there is when the real fun will start...

Letdowns

Post#30 » by Ranma » Mon Oct 2, 2017 3:31 am

I missed most of the 1st half but I'm already annoyed with Bowen.

I was the guy who voted for Dekker in the poll. I already knew what to expect from everyone else including Wilson,
Gallo, Teodosic, and Beverley. I was hoping to see if Dekker would show signs of whether he's healthy enough to contribute significantly during the season. He's athletic, has good perimeter skills, and hustles.

Forget a two-way, sign Jamil for the rest of the season

What I've learned from Bruce Bowen. "This is preseason" I wanted to mute the channel after the 15th time I heard this.

Also, he asked Frank something like "Can you tell us what it's like for the guys playing with Teodosic, where you have to have your head up at all times because you never know when the ball will come flying your way. He always has his head up when he's coming downcourt and has incredible court vision." When it takes two minutes to ask a question, you aren't asking a question, you're giving your opinion and asking the person to tell you how smart you are.

Is it just me or does starting Austin Rivers at the 2 give every single NBA team an immediately advantage over the Clippers?

Austin has a nice dribble and change of pace but his shot remains broken and his finishing moves in the paint continue to be unreliable. What does he work on every summer? His weaknesses stay the same. At the NBA level, he's a guy who wants to score but can't do it well enough so he starts making bad passes instead.

Bev would be better off starting with Lou Wililams.

Yeah, not starting Teodosic is stupid. And everyone is talking about his assists now because his shot wasn't falling, but we know he is at least just as good a shooter as Rivers (probably better). I am sorry to say this, but starting RIvers is pure nepotism. Teodosic is the better player and better fit. It is so stupid of the organization to put Rivers the coach in such a bad position to have to bench his son, which looks like he is not gonna do. And now you will not get the most out of the team.

He both shot and finished well last season, so I wouldn't use a one game sample size as a measuring stick. Austin is fine, all the guards have different strengths and weaknesses, just wish two of them were about 2-3 inches taller with the accompanying longer arms.
