Well...that's really sucky, we barely got to see him play. Injuries are so annoying, I'm not really sure how long this is, at least 2 months I believe.

Depends on whether it's a tear. The way he went down, you would think so. If there's no tear, I'd say a week of ice and rest. If there's a tear and it's not too bad, could be as little as a month, as it was for Pau Gasol. Let's hope. We'll assume that Team Moneybags will get him the latest in space-age physio.

http://www.plantarfasciitis-help.com/plantar-fasciitis-in-the-nba/

Plantar fasciitis is a big big problem in the NBA, but somehow NBA players sidelined by it often get back out in the game and pounding their feet on those hard floors within weeks. Back in February 2013, New York Knicks center-forward Marcus Camby returned to play after being out a month with plantar fasciitis. On February 14 of that same year, Chicago Bulls center Joakim Noah, who several years earlier had treatment for plantar fasciitis in his left foot, had platelet-rich-plasma (PRP) treatment — see Minimally Invasive Treatments — for plantar fasciitis in his right foot and by March was still playing, although playing with pain, bolstered by massages and other treatments.

NBA players overcome plantar fasciitis fast. How do they bounce back so fast? What are they doing that the rest of us should be doing?

Other NBA players afflicted and sidelined by plantar fasciitis in that 2012-2013 season included Boston Celtics center Greg Stiemsma, Detroit Pistons point guard BrandonKnight, Utah Jazz Forward-center Derrick Favors, Washington Wizards forward-center Nene and Los Angles Lakers forward-center Pau Gasol. Gasol not only had plantar fasciitis pain but actually tore his plantar fascia in a game against the Brooklyn Nets on February 5.

The result: he was out of commission.

The prognosis: He was back running drills little more than a month later.

Maybe the Suns are dumb enough to trade Austin for Bledsoe, we can't have Austin playing 25+ mpg and expect to win ~50 games

Austin plays 25+ minutes as a back up guard. Get ready watch him 38 minutes a night.

Bledsoe's trade value has to be an all-time low. Hopefully we can sucker the Suns into trading Bledsoe for Austin. If Doc can't accept that, he can feel free to quit on us like he quit on the Celtics.

IMO, Doc didn't quit on the Celtics, he quit on Ainge. Being Danny's employee, not his "partner," to be fired at will, is a situation I'd gladly trade for what he got with the Clippers. If Blake had left, I think he was fine with starting the rebuilding this year if he had a say [and he does].

As for Austin, he had mono this summer and then got hurt in camp. He's way behind the curve and deserves some time to get right. His shot is still off but vs PHX he was +35. I'd trade him for Bledsoe, sure, but he's been a useful cog since he got here. Last year he started at 3 positions because of injuries and now we're damn lucky to have him on the roster with Milos down. We would not have won 50 games without him last year.

not gonna happen
PHX just fired the coach, which should calm Bledsoe down for awhile

fairest offer I can think of is Austin, Dekker, Montrezl
but PHX can prob do better
and even if they can't, they will prob try to wait out the storm

I thought this thread was supposed to be about Milos. I like what I've seen from him in limited action. I'm disappointed by the news, guess we'll see how long he's out since there isn't a time table on his return.
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

It's definitely not a great injury to have due to the unpredictability in the recovery, but I'm thankful that it's not necessarily a season-ender. Get well soon Milos!

Now I know what I want for Christmas: Milos on the court.

Clippers news:

Fortunately for Teodosic and the Clippers, he avoided a ruptured Achilles tendon, which seemed possible considering the nature of his injury.

A torn plantar fascia would normally keep a player out for 3-4 months, but the indefinite diagnosis perhaps indicates that Teodosic might not have suffered a full tear, and could perhaps return ahead of that timeline. He should return to full strength once he is fully recovered—with any luck, sometime in January.

I don't really see Suns trading Bledsoe right after firing Watson either. IF they did they'd probably be interested in Dekker and Montrezlt, not Austin as their age fit Suns timeline better. When Milos returns in a month, we would find ourselfs with too many guards and not enough forwards.

luckily we have some depth at point guard with Lou, Beverly and Austin. But none of those guys are necessarily playmakers, or have played those roles in their careers. I guess in the next couple of months we will find out how the point forward experiment with Blake will go.

Well the Suns need a new head coach, so...
