+15 in 9 minutes. Fantastic on ball defense. This will hopefully force Doc to play him more. On a team that's devoid of PG play, he's worth a look.

Sindarius and Jawun getting minutes and not being trainwrecks as rookies tonight, i'm happy lol

Thunder have lived at the line, and deservedly so, Clippers have hacked a lot, but Clippers still got 18 FTA, so it wasn't even too bad difference wise. Turnovers were a bit of a problem that half, so they need to keep that in check.

6 assists on 19 made FG is still poor, but we're actually a very good isolation, attack off pick and roll team, I can't even be mad at it

Down 77-62, Blake tries to lead the team back

with a missed 3-pointer, then on the next possession a missed jumper

Blake is never going to shoot us back into a game
that is not leadership

Lou Williams would be the guy to shoot the team back into the game, but they will need to defend either way

on the ass end of Lawler's Law

98-91
now 100

both teams taking it to the hole, it's referee ball now
we're coming up on the brown end of the stick

we put up a good fight

Austin just stuck a 3 over 3 guys
he doesn't suck

Lou just stuck another 3
then a 2 to close it to 4

this is cool :-)

I don't really know if it is good or bad that Blake is just giving the ball to Williams and Rivers. They are hot, so you feed the hot hand, but you don't necessarily want him to just kind of watch those guys being to ones to lead the charge either.

Well, I think Blake doesn't want the ball and proved it tonight. That was the internal criticism of the Clippers teams as long as I can remember--before CP. When it comes down to the last shot, nobody wants the ball.

Blake has never wanted the ball for the last shot. CP wanted the ball or at least accepted it. But except for the last shot to win the Spurs series, he didn't have the Right Stuff. Dribble the ball off his leg. That's why he just crawled off from being the leader and captain and the greatest Clipper of all time--just to become Harden's right hand man.

This is why the CP/BG era failed. Hey, it was worth a try.

Like I said before, this team was constructed in a way that, for most optimal success, Blake would have to play at a top 5 to top 7 level for us to be at our best. Anything less than that would be lottery. We just can't afford to have Blake not be that and expect to win.

He looks like a really good 2nd option right now, and that is not good for a team that is surrounding him with Pat Beverely, Lou Williams, Austin Rivers, DeAndre Jordan, etc. etc. especially when guys are hurt. He legit looks like he doesn't have that first option ability and it's reeking of Buyer's remorse.

- As a #1 option, Blake Griffin unfortunately, is not it. That's the #1 issue for me. He's good, but he's clearly not #1 option on a winner good (at least right now)

- DJ's time with LAC is about to be over, and i'm not even mad at that.

- I actually like some of our ancillary pieces like Pat Bev (in a smaller role) Lou Will, Sindarius, Gallo when he's making shots, Wilie Reed is awesome, etc. but none of this matters if Blake isn't the guy we paid him to be.

- Something something it's doc's fault but at this point, it may be. Doesn't matter, he's a ticking time bomb. He won't be LAC's head coach by this time next season.

this was pretty disappointing. Lou and Willie played great, the rest of the team were pretty bad.
