I was hoping that his injury wouldn't be too bad, but deep down I knew he would miss some time. At least this isn't the rest of the season and since Martin wants us to tank now we'll be tanking for a few months. Wins would be nice but I'm guessing they will be hard to come by without Blake. Hopefully we get a decent draft slot and we can select a good young prospect.
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

I dunno. it may not be long enough. we will need both Gallo and Blake to join Patrick for the designation of "out for season" status to have a shot at top 5 picks. there are just too many bad teams in the bottom 1/3 of the league. I'm gonna guess that Gallo will be back for now while Milos stays out indefinitely as well, I suppose if now we choose to trade DJ for a pick and run out

Lou - Austin - Wes - Gallo - Reed with
Juwan, CJ - Thornton - Sam - Harrell becomes our second unit.

I still think that looks like a team that will be 12-14 range in the lottery and not bad enough to have a real shot at earlier picks.

if you put Sam as PF to start, then we have
Lou - Austin - Wes - Dekker - DJ

man, with that lineup can't wait for Gallo to be back asap. our both guards and depending on nights, both forwards are undersized, leaving only DJ to be equal or larger in size of his respective position on the floor in most nights.

and plus, I have already expressed the hypotheticals of missing Milos much longer, but assuming he returns sooner than later, dare I say we should move one of the current starters for Milos? if Blake was struggling without a true point, imagine how the rest of the team will do without our season opening night's starting PG, SF, and now PF are gone... as well as a half of the team remaining from last season being out of commission as well, which leaves what, 2 on active roster? whichever it is, I have a strong suspicion that our team was constructed with this particular possibility in mind. therefore the project tankclip begins.

We're trying or will look into DJ to the Cavs for their Nets pick which is currently at #6 right now. I'm wondering can we get a first for Lou Williams- he's ballin' right now. A playoff team that needs more scoring off the bench: Philly, Boston, Milwaukee, Washington,

Ya'll might not like this but if we were to trade DJ I would look at Lou Williams for Jahil Oakfor. I know he's not much on the defensive end but he's young, a former #3 pick, and I think he would improve in a new environment.

Wondering if we could have three 1st rounders in the next draft--- Our pick, Nets pick for trading DJ to Cavs, and a 1st for Lou Williams or a young player with upside in return. Mix that with Blake, Gallo, and the bench we have now is a much better position franchise wise a year from now. Wouldn't even need a 5 year tank like Philly did.

We had such a good first week. Then Teo, Bev, Gallo and now Blake all go down.
We're a lottery team without Bev and Blake. Oh well, on to next year. Sucks.

George aint comming to play with an injury prone Blake and a bunch of kids. Milos is also gone after this season since he is 30 and wants to compete.

Don’t tell that to our fanbase.

They think he’s coming.
I’m just appeasing them and avoiding confrontation.

Yeah, sorry. Tankin sounds good but there will be 12 teams tanking after this season and tanking with Blake might be harder. Retooling the 2nd time might also back fire so its not a good situation..

First things first, we need to see if he can stay healthy in the league before talking about competing. He broke down only four games into the season

Actually he played only 1 game and god hurt in the next. That has nothing to do with his durability. I doubt he will stay and tank to prove his worth. If an oportunity presents itself in the offseason he is as good as gone. I can see a team like the Jazz giving him an oportunity, or even the Spurs.

If and when Gallo comes back, he's actually quite solid at PF, but who knows when he'll be back. A lineup with Gallo at PF without Blake is not that bad.

it will be more than 2 months. Clippers medical staff tend to lie about most injuries.
2 months will still be 2 months after new years, it will still stay at 2 months after all star break.

no timetable for return for Gallo or Milos either. :nonono:
