LOL 7-11 junction and I think Lou finally got to touch the ball.
Rivers is having a good offensive night so far tho.

Jordan's active and engaged, Austin is letting loose, Lou has yet to shoot. WeJo needs to hit his shots.
Like Trez's energy out there.

wow, I must say, so far that the play of Austin Rivers as a 'scoring mentality type' 2 guard, has been pretty impressive going aggressively to the hole. like a really poor, poor, poor man's Kobe kinda way.

hold up, what is going on here? Doc substitutes in CJ Williams, clearly to replace the PG duties that Lou took away from Austin earlier at that 7-11 juncture, Austin is now running the offense and CJ is standing around? if this was intended plan, why not bring in Sindy first then bring in CJ whenever Austin sits?

Doc just shows he can't coach no matter the talent level at his disposal

I dunno if I would agree with you, Doc can coach, he is a pretty decent one too, the problem has been his propensity of wanting FO influence and he really wasn't a good executive by any means. I think these games where the last laughable series of injuries that put us where we are today that led to having the lineup we see out there tonight continues for a long stretch, this will truly be the litmus test for Doc's true nature and ability as a coach and his true intent with his son.
but I will tell all of you one thing, Austin does have talent. it is very uneven in a diagram of skills of various parts of his game but where he has strength, it was built on "scoring".

probably rambling at this point, but I love this team out there right now. very nostalgic, romantically fixated as an underdog and yet the hope of the mega rich new owner and his enthusiasm for basketball game and the NBA, this makes it a sort of a tribute to, the last run, the last showing, the retirement tour of David Ortiz, the clips are showing us the oldheads what it used to look like, a mixture of has beens and spare part veterans and a group of young, not super stardom ridden but B level to B+ types you can hope they turn corner soon, to keep us going back for more back in the day.
Norm Nixon, Doc Rivers himself as a player, Dominique, Big Red, surrounded by infinite supply of Joe Wolfs and Bo Kimbles, with occasional Danny Mannings and the polish rifle.

Going have to agree to disagree. I've always thought Doc was quite overrated and underachieved with the Big Three, never mind what happened here. His rotations have always been questionable and constantly being a broken record with "I like our team," is just face palm worthy. Doesn't seem to have a single clue on what to do on the offensive end either.
Will say, however, he is among the best at drawing plays out of time-outs....most of the time.

it is possible that my judgement is clouded from the fact that I was actually a fan of Doc as a player, even before he was a clipper whom I watched at the old arena from the first half of the 90s Clips but as the sidekick of 'Nique with the Hawks. and that retro uniforms are absolute classics...... yes he is good at drawing up plays out of time outs too, which tells you he has a keen eye for the situation and knows how to counter like Floyd Mayweather Jr.
but man there are so many other facets of his tenure that makes it so hard to keep on keeping on.

Why the heck is Brice Johnson still riding the pine? Doc must not like his work, despite fantastic stats in the five games he played.
It's not like the bench squad is tearing up the court.
