Do Clippers have chance in this game?, I say yes. Just look at these presented stats and the rosters where I don't see clear advantage for the Spurs except if refs decide to be a factor. Fortunately for the Spurs they don't need help from them, all they need is their as they say the best player in the league Kawhi Leonard back in recognizable shape and that is where Clippers must put an effort just in order to make sure Leonard does not have free practice on them.

I'm honestly not that optimistic about this game, but I hope the Clippers surprise me. This is the NBA and any team can beat anybody on a given night. (Especially in the regular season)

Thank God Austin's back. This one's in the bag.

j/k

But 5 out of our top 8 out??!! I don't ever remember it being this bad. Not only do we have the Clipper Curse but Blake added the Kardashian Kurse on top of it...

I'm not specially optimistic too, it's San Antonio Spurs that we are talking about, but still Clippers always have a bad 1st qtr so if they could keep it under 10 before the 4th it would be great.

down 8 at the half, esp after that horrible 1stQ, is all you could ask

but I get the feeling the Spurs are just toying with us

I just realized that Lou Williams is out, we really have no chance

Well, I can't say that first qtr is the reason of this lost but Clippers seriously have to correct that. In fact it was that I don't know 15-2, or something like that run, after Clippers got close to only one possession.

The Spurs beat us 109-91, I'm not really surprised since we have a lot of guys out. We also had a pretty bad 1st quarter. Seems like all we do is string losses or string wins together. Guess I gotta wait for the right situation for us to win again.

Austin had a bad game, a team-worst -32 [Jawun = -21, DJ, -20]
he cannot put a bad team on his back, though he tried
since nobody else on the active roster can either
I'm not sure you blame a guy for swinging for the fences when
our high scorer[s] got 13
and Austin still got 12

what should be the starting lineup of the Agua Caliente Clippers
[CJ, Jamil, Brice, Jawun, Sindarius]
played 103 out of 240 available minutes tonight

against the Spurs, the NBA's most well-oiled machine of the past decade

I don't draw any conclusions from this
cluster, meet ****

Being upfront for our Rivers Derangement Syndrome regulars, that Austin had a bad game.

I just don't think he took particularly bad shots or that his turnovers were particularly careless or stupid. I think he tried to step up and fill in for Lou, who's been carrying us. The cupboard is bare. The key graf is

i've been praising Austin's offense for making right shots, passes and screens... this game was a set back, went back his bad ways..

The Clippers are 2-7 when Austin takes 15+ shots. Spare me the excuses and narratives about how he's supposedly "improved," how he's a good offensive player now, etc. He stinks.

Is Gallinari malingering or something? Who misses 20 games with a Glute strain? This is getting ridiculous

I don't mind that Austin went for it. We were gonna lose regardless. I'd agree if he were taking shots away from proven scorers like Blake and Lou, but last night we fielded perhaps the worst team the NBA will see all year--against one of the best.

Austin went 4-15. Last night, Paul George went 3-13 against the Nuggets and Klay Thompson went 6-24 [!] against the Lakers. It happens. Even counting this clunker, Austin's still

16.4 ppg, 42% FG/45% 3-pt this month in 7 games

hardly time to panic or trade him to Sacramento.

lol... dude seriously? you really should compare Austin to your other undrafted d-legeauers since that is more comparable....
with the way Austin has been playing on defense, giving him 20 minutes per game would be generous... just check this game again, how can Doc give a player **** on defense, chucking on offense freaking 32 minutes in a semi-blowout game... it is beyond ridiculous...
Austin is not better than Dekker, Herrell, Thronwell, Evans, CJ, Wilson etc... Giving those players 33 minutes burn per game, green light chucking, no consequence of being lazy on defense, I guarantee you everyone of them could average +15 points/game...
with all the playing minutes, green lights of shooting, Austin is still a big negative (ORtg 101, DRtg 112)...
yes, this is not Austin's fault, it is Doc's fault... wrong to be Austin's father...lol

dude, seriously yourself

Austin had a bad game after being off a week with a concussion, playing alongside G-leaguers vs the Spurs machine

I don't argue with "eye test" people, esp once they play the nepotism card

to your facts:
Milos is 97 O-rating, 111 D-rating
even worse
the team has been such a mess you can't draw anything from that

Lou is 113/113 [brilliant on O, no dispute]
Austin guards the toughest guys, Milos and Lou the weakest
obviously the D-rtg stat doesn't tell you things like that
they have the same rating but are they hardly the same
even an eye test can tell you that

look, I think Austin's an average-ish player
and if he didn't hit the 3
he'd be below average

but anybody who focuses on him while the house is burning all around him is not a serious cat

He absolutely is better than all those players, at the moment. We're not talking about where they could be in two years playing for their dads and getting plenty of minutes, we're talking about right now.
