Talks have been going on for a few days. "There's no agreement in place but there is significant traction to a potential deal."

This will make me sad, but it honestly wouldn't be the worst thing in the world if we unload Blake and DJ. We are going nowhere out west for the foreseeable future imo.

I've maintained that we should have acquired Tobias Harris in the Bledsoe trade many moons ago, but this is too little and too late now. I'm not against trading Blake Griffin, but this trade doesn't make much sense if we're getting Bradley--whom I otherwise like--who is an impending free agent from what I understand. A late lottery pick isn't much either. I don't even know who the other guy rumored to be is.
This would only make sense if we had guarantees for free agents this summer like when Jerry West dealt Elden Campbell before signing Shaq for the Lakers. Or are we hoping to package both our and the Pistons' first-round picks to move up towards the top of the draft board?

I've suspected something along these lines for quite some time now, but it is a bit surprising to hear this become an issue now, especially with Chris Paul gone.

I don't get this at all. We just signed the guy to a 5 year deal and he has been playing well, we are only 2 games behind #6 seed in the west.
a mid range 1st rounder is not gonna give us ****.
I'd be ok trading Lou or DJ. Why Blake, why now?

Couldn't even get Luke Kennard or Stanley Johnson....what the hell man.
At least now Gallo can play at the four, where he's better suited for the 10 games per year he'll be active.

I’d like to thank this front office for committing to a course of action. I’d like to thank them for focusing on the future and not praying for rain and thinking a guy like Paul George was the missing piece to put us over the top. I’d like to thank them for betting on themselves to build a champion correctly from scratch.
