Clippers need to approach these games as actual playoff games. I hope they find a way in to the playoffs.

Austin is 1-8, 0-6 from three, 3 points, -11 so far. Looks like Milos is tonight's scapegoat for Austin's putrid performance.

This could overturn to Clippers momentum.

Such a pity, still, Clippers can make PO appearance.

Story of this game: Austin 38 minutes, Wes 18 minutes. We can't beat any good teams with scrubs playing this many minutes. #FireDoc

DJ minus-7
Tobias minus-5
Austin minus-5
we lost by 5
WeJo minus-19 [!]
Austin a bad 3-12 but also on Oladipo much of the night who finished a bad 4-16
if you're not going to actually watch the game, learn to read the box score
Milos 4 TOs, Tobias 4 TOs [2 in the last minute or so] also hurt if you want to point fingers
game threads are for analysis not vendettas

I do watch the games. That's where my opinions are coming from. I have yet to see Austin or Wes justify the minutes they're given all season.

No offense, but what does it mean to
actually watch the games? The question feels more like there's a pop quiz coming at the end of the game. Not a lot of people watch the games anymore, myself included. Sometimes I have a built-in excuse like I'm currently working on a podcast (which by coincidence is
true, I plan to have it up next week pending a reply for a guest drop). But most of the time, it's a loss of interest, which was how I felt after Griffin's downfall, the Toronto punching incident in particular. If we don't have time to watch the games for whatever reason, do you automatically think the spectator has a bias against that team? Is reading the articles alone enough, even if they are from home-team sites like Clips Nation or Clipperholics?
In other words, we have to stop thinking they ignore the games. Maybe some people just watch the games a different way. I have no ill will with that.

well actually I wrote
if you're not going to actually watch the game, learn to read the box score
Milos 4 TOs, Tobias 4 TOs [2 in the last minute or so] also hurt if you want to point fingers
So the box score will tell you that Austin had a subpar shooting night [3-12, 25%] but plus/minus no worse than the major guys he was on the floor with, DJ and Tobias. Austin also had 8 assists and as previously noted was partially responsible for giving their leading scorer Victor Oladipo a tough night [4-16, also 25% from the floor]. Milos had a lousy first half and got an earful from Doc for spacing out at the top of the 3rdQ when we fell behind quickly. Then the whole team rallied [Milos included] in the 4th and we made it close at the end. [It was the Clips who made it to 100 first, Lawler's Law and all that.]
I think the articles you read will say something like that because that's what happened.

And no, I don't blame you for not watching.

The point is that stats don’t tell the whole story. Hence the need to watch the game to make a fully informed judgment

Horrible time for a losing streak. I hope they find a way to bounce back.
Offtopic: Stats are great but I do agree people will never get a full picture without watching the game. Just going by stats alone is almost like hiring a blind person (no disrespect intended) to scout a potential draft pick.

But some people on this forum ARE blind. Austin has had a lot of really good games this year. He is trying to do too much, but for the most part he has proven himself to be a solid NBA player. But some people here have so much hate that they actually enjoy the act of hating. I don't get why MTV is on here. Bitch bitch bitch, whine whine whine, all the time.
Go find another team to annoy. You don't like the team, you complained when we had Paul and Blake, you'll complain if we lose DJ, Austin and Doc goes to the Knicks. You will find something new to complain about, because you are a horrible, miserable person.

My comment was only about stats not Austin or any other individual player. Austin is like most players. Not as great as some fans think nor nearly as bad as his hater claim he is in general. Same for Doc as a coach. Some people think he is the worst coach ever while I would not be surprised to see him get a few coach of the year votes this season.
The bottom line for me is this team still has a outside shot at the playoffs. I really would like to see them play Houston so I'm not giving up.

I don't think anybody says Austin is great. But 15.6 ppg on 43.1%/38.4% is OK. He's the least of our problems. He's also only 25 and has improved his numbers each year.
As for Doc, I've always suspected that CP3 and to a lesser extent BG did what they wanted and they dictated our play more than Doc. Which was fine as long as we were winning, but at crunch time, it seemed CP was playing 1-on-5. This year we have the ball movement Doc always said he coaches. I still can't see how we got this far, although I still wouldn't be surprised if we only finish at .500.
