A certain player has three turnovers already. Can't have that in a game as important as this one.

I can't find a single minority in the stands. This crowd is whiter than the flag we waved in game 7 last year.

Alright come on now, even Doc can't allow Austin to keep chucking and ball hogging like this. The ball needs to be in the hands of our best players, which are Tobais, Lou, and Harrell.

Sure he can. He's been allowing it all season. Austin's stats matter more to Doc than winning.

Can't be too mad about having two lottery picks. This team tried hard... it's just too difficult to overcome Doc's coaching, Austin/Wes' minutes and DJ mailing it in all season.

For all intents and purposes, they are eliminated.

The only thing left for them to do is get the 9th seed to close the season on a promising note.

Glad I missed this one but blaming Austin [6-12, 19 points] for Tobias and Lou having their worst games of the year [8-24 combined] is a

Letting the Jazz shoot 53% including a 36-point 1stQ is all you need to know. From what I heard on radio, it was the D that was to blame. That and starting 2 rookie G-Leaguers [Sindarius should have spent the year down there] and 3 non-shooters [Ty, Sindarius and DJ] and it's hardly a surprise. The only surprise is that we've got as far as we did.

I also did not watch this game but if I understood Wammy Giveaway's post right, theoretically Clippers still have chances to make into playoffs?

Yes. The Nuggets are 2 games ahead of us at #9 and the #7 Pels are 3 games ahead in the loss column. We need help even if we beat them both. The good news is we would hold the tiebreaker with DEN [head-to-head] and probably the Pels [season series tied, but better conference record].

[we lose the tiebreaker with the #8 Wolves, who swept us this season]

and the Jazz moved up to the 4th seed tonight, over the Spurs
yes they skunked us, but they're pretty good
meanwhile, we're starting G-Leaguers

Austin led the team in turnovers, was -21, contributed hardly anything other than chucking, and still led the team in minutes for obvious reasons. A big reason why the Jazz scored so much and so efficiently is because we kept gifting them easy points by turning it over so much, and Austin was the main culprit in that (along with Lou).

So your solution to our problems on defense is to leave one of our only good defenders in the G-League all season? That's a joke, right?

A real solution on defense would be for Doc to stop pretending his son is a lockdown defender and stop giving him tons of minutes.

You can disparage them all you want, but it doesn't change the fact that those "G-Leaguers" are better than Austin, have more upside than Austin, and contribute more to winning than Austin.

You should stop rooting against your own team and instead learn to appreciate hard-working players who earned their spot on the roster.

I was able only watch the 2nd half and it was extremely sluggish performance. There was almost no will to play defense. No one showed up to play except for Harrell. too many turnovers, settled for bad shots, etc..

Yes, we could still make the playoffs, if we win the last 3 games. But even then it is not in our hands anymore. We lost too many critical games this season.

Our "G-Leaguers" play defense and buy into the team concept. Austin does neither. Those are the facts, regardless of whether or not you'd like to believe them.

Those are opinions. Here are the facts. We lost the game in the 1st half on defense and it wasn't Austin's fault.

Wow, that is cherrypicking to the extreme. I wasn't just talking about one opposing player's shooting percentages in half of one game when I said our "G-Leaguers" play defense and Austin doesn't, FWIW. Here are the facts:

Sin is 4th on the team in DBPM. Ty is 5th. Williams is 7th. Austin is 18th.

Sin leads the team in DRPM. Ty is 5th. Williams is 8th. Austin is 16th.

Sin leads the team in DRAPM. Ty is 3rd. Williams is 8th. Austin is 19th.

This is for the whole season to date, by the way. And those are statistics, not opinions. But please, tell me more about how Mitchell missing four shots against Austin in one half suddenly makes Austin a better defender than those other guys.

Talking about the game. You are wrong with your usual spew. Austin played their best player well. His D was better than the others and it's there in black and white.

I appreciate you actually trolling for some facts but Austin has taken the toughest D assignment all year, against NBA starters. Lou is not a better defender than Austin and at 6-foot, is limited in who he CAN defend. You can throw Austin at a SF but that would be a joke with Lou. You give Lou the easier of the two guards, and not only that, but he spends a lot of his court time against 2nd teamers, not Donovan Mitchells.

This is where stats don't tell the whole story. You actually have to watch the games and put the stats into context.

As for the other two, even stipulating they're better, they had better be, because they can't shoot and are useless at ballhandling and playmaking. They only reason they're in the NBA at all is D and the fact that we've lost 4 guards for the season with injuries.
