Beyond the L.B. LeLakers... who do you feel a rivalry with/against?

There was Memphis in the past... we had moments with Golden State...
But right now, there's something about them Rockets for me. Things are percolating, it feels like.

Looking forward to seeing if anything comes of Clippers vs Nets in the near future.

I don't think a rivalry with the Eastern Conference is possible these days

even Lakers vs Celts is meh

Well, the Lakers' start has them as the rabbit the dogs gotta catch. As a dyed-in-the-wool Laker Hater, I'm gonna give them their props but they remind me of Vinnie's 2012-13 Clippers.

With vets like Odom, Jamal, Barnes and Turiaf, our bench got us out to a great start--winning 17 in a row!--but by midseason, come January we came back to earth, played .500 ball the rest of the way and lost in the first round. [Which is why CP got Vinnie's ass fired.]


I don't think the Lakers will lose in the 1st round because even at age 35, LeBron is still maybe the best player in the league. Gotta give it where it's due--Bron is top 3 or 5 of all time with Wilt and Jordan, arguably a nose ahead of even Magic and Bird. As the Lakers PG now, he's Magic and Bird combined.

But Bron can't do it by himself and I'm not an AD believer either regardless of his stats, let alone the rest of their roster. Right now--just like the Vinnie Clippers--the Lakers' experience is beating these kid teams, but by midseason the constant barrage of the Phoenixes, Utes, Nugs and Mavs is gonna wear these old guys TF out.


Bron and AD are playing 35 minutes a night, ffs. No way the Lakers make it through to April like this, let alone June.

Anthony Davis is about as good as it gets for a "number 2" on a Title contending team.

Ballmer is opening up the checkbook and bombing up the Metro trains and busses.. I'm lovin' it!

Last night's win gives us 2 chances to clinch the season series vs the Lakers and get the tiebreaker in the event we end the season with the same record.

That's what you gotta do. Show the world you are better than them. Remind that you have been the superior team in the past decade. You can't see games against lakers as formality. You gotta show up, play hard and dominate them every time we meet. We are doing that, that's why laker fans keep living in the era of prime kobe.

I specifically said these games should never be Load Management games (and from my view of the schedule, there's no need for them to be).
Some people disagreed.

Yah, baby. Sometimes you gotta own a team and give them no daylight that they ever have a chance against you.

Ya know what... that "City edition" jersey is actually pretty cool, it's grown on me...

i don't hate it as much as i used to but i really wish they did something like

"city of angels" instead
