Same I hated it at first but now I want one

Initial impression... I didn't know it was just supposed to be one of these novelty jerseys. It seemed a bit of a reach... trying TOO hard to appeal to "the streets". Pandering. But I've come around, and besides, the Black script on White jersey... it looks nice, clean.

(also, when I heard it was inspired partly by the Los Angeles Times script/font, it made more sense).

Great video!! Really enjoyed it!! Thanks a ton for sharing!

I love how we've actually dominated the Battle for LA for quite a while now, and I also love how our players right now are so humble! That's so rare in this day and age!! GO CLIPPERS!!!

Looks like these two teams might be battling for Darren Collison. Collison played for Doc with us and was a teammate of PG's in Indy for a year.

That is gold, lol
Plus, why would I want to go to the NBA? Duke players suck in the pros.

But it just means that the Clippers allocate more press seats than the Lakers do doesn't it? I remember this being a thing every year since the start of Lob City, and every time it was clarified that both teams were selling out, just one of them had more seats available.

you could be right but Lakers are listed at 99.6%, Clips at 100%

and this is AFTER Jerry got kicked to the curb by Buss in 2006

he had every reason to pull Kobe out

West cared about Kobe way too much to let him play for Sterling.

OOOPS--I went back and double-checked my facts. Kobe almost left in 2004, not 2006. Sorry.

Clippers-Lakers is not a Battle *FOR* L.A.
It's the Battle *OF* L.A.

It's seemingly a meaningless distinction, but it's not, it's a very critical distinction.

The L.A. Rivalry is not about who wins "ownership" of the city (so to speak)... that's what the main-stream media like to propagate. "Is L.A. a 'Clippers town', now?"... etc. True fans know that, that's not what it's about. Never has been.

Clippers-Lakers is about David vs Goliath, the underdog vs the glam-team. We as Clippers fans are under no illusion that L.A. will be "a Clippers town" (rather than 'a Lakers town').

So it's not the "Battle for L.A."...
It's the "Battle of L.A."

I hope Kawhi wins the title, just because his game models Kobe's the most. Kobe cared a lot about his legacy and I hate how the media and casuals seriously entertain the Lebron v. Kobe debate, the real former stars know Kobe was better. Right now it almost sounds like Lebron is being hyped up as better than Kobe. If Kawhi smacks Lebum in the playoffs, people will stop hyping up the fake king, and glorify Kobe even more because of how similar Kawhi's game is to his. Kawhi needs to win this one for his teacher, Kobe.

I really hope the clippers win the title, but I don’t agree that Kobe was better than Lebron. I’m not a Lebron fan, but he essentially does everything better than Kobe did except free throw shooting.
