Doesn't even seem like he's on the team. Not really a good signing imo

I simply don't trust anything our medical staff says. There always seems to a problem with the injury diagnosis.

How Ironic

More like Doc was uninsurable given his propensity for continued malpractice no matter what role he plays. The unstattable Avery Bradley owes his unreasonably extended playing time to the uninsurable Doc Rivers. Plus, I guess Doc is tired with giving out misdiagnoses for Clippers injuries now, I take it.

Doc's quote below is probably as close to an admission to his incompetence as we'll ever get and it was made in jest. The irony...

When Does He Return? Maybe He Doesn't

I'm starting to think Moute was never intended to return. Aside from his current knee issues, I think the Clippers signed him to prevent playoff contenders from acquiring him, particular of note the Houston Rockets (who they traded Chris Paul to and played for), Golden State Warriors (dynasty) and Los Angeles Lakers (LeBron James and the return to glory days). This would have been painted as the perfect Doc Rivers move: petty, jealous and vengeful, plus Luc has defeated his Celtics before... if Doc were still GM. But this is Jerry West's Clippers team, and for him to oblige to Doc's competitive nature might be out of character*. Recall Mark Jackson in West's time with Warriors, he didn't buy in with Mark's views going so far as quitting if the front office traded Klay Thompson, his draft pick, for Kevin Love.

If Moute returns, the Clippers will get a defensive boost. If he misses the season, no worries, at least they've weakened their adversaries and won't have to worry about a Clipper killer (some player who has crazy stats when he faces the Clippers).

Either way, Doc wins. "If I'm going down, I'm taking my enemies with me."

* And that includes West using Moute's return as a cover to their smart rebuild plans. After all, Moute's contract is a 1-year veterans minimum.

Thank God he wasn’t here sucking up playing time from others.

Man was thought to be done when the Wolves salary dumped him to Philadelphia. Then he came in at training camp and outta nowhere gave us a couple of incredible seasons playing starting SF on a minimum contract. Put some respect on the Prince's name, whatever salary he took home this year, it was more than owed to him. If he wants to come back on a veteran minimum, I'd be more than glad to bring him in, even if he can't walk.

Exactly. Who was it again, who was playing on a misdiagnosed broken foot for an extended amount of time? Was it Jared Dudley, or Big Baby? Glad the same thing didn't happen with Luc.

I didn't even know Luc played 4 games this season. I thought it was a Grant Hill(?) type thing where he had an injury even before the season started and never even played a game? Man those years were rough...
