Any fool can push the panic button when things are going sour. Certainly this can't go on much longer but once you yank him, Avery has no trade value. With Lou still out, we still need minutes.

Tonight you put him on Doncic and see what happens.

Hate to break it to you, but Avery has no trade value already. Who's going to trade for the worst player in basketball?

Like hell. It's bad enough we're stuck with an overrated coach but lowering the standards in order to have a mental midget like DJ have his jersey retired is abominable.

Like he would know anything about anything. Dude probably still believes that draft picks are worthless and that Jeff Green is a cornerstone player.

true

point is, it's not like we have somebody obviously better to take the minutes

Sindarius's numbers are just as big a joke and Ty's an unknown quality [and neither can shoot either]

I'm not saying to keep playing Avery but sports is full of guys who the coach didn't give up on who finally came around

it looks like he won't, but Avery was a real NBA starter only 2 years ago
it's not like investing PT in some G-Leaguer and hoping he'll somehow turn into Cinderella

You can trash them all you want as part of your agenda, but Sindarius and Ty actually contributed to this team last year when they got to play. Avery hasn't made any positive contribution to this team. Give me the "D-League Cinderellas" any day of the week over the worst player in basketball.

And just like that, Lou Williams being on the court makes magical things happen. A Harrell transition dunk (where Lou wasn't involved) briefly puts the Clippers over the Mavericks by one.

actually Sindarius lost his minutes to Ty, a G-Leaguer

and it's a fact that Avery was a bona fide NBA starter and first-team all-defense and still only 28 as of November
the other guys have done nothing in this league

I don't disagree that Avery's just about used up his leeway

but just because something didn't work doesn't mean it was a mistake
anyone can pile on when a man's down

a month ago it was Pat Bev

Plan A has always been to try to play the starters even and get fat with the 2nd unit

7 point lead with the scrubs but now it's back to real life
Doncic, Barnes and DJ back in

Shai having a bad night
0 pts, minus-9 and 3 PF halfway through the 2ndQ

Wallace just saved Bradley's bacon.

That was vicious by Doncic.
