I love it, gets us a competent forward and it doesn’t take us out of the Kawhi race. We needed a big wing that could shoot, Harkless is the closest thing available. And we also get a first, which is a nice cherry on top. We’re really invested in the Heat’s future now.

We actually got a Miami 1st in exchange for taking on his salary. which still leaves us with a max slot potentially available.

This is a nice move totally independent of Kawhi coming or not.

The Clippers were always gonna have difficulties attracting free agents, so they've decided to bring the Trade Deadline early. Bringing in expiring deals only benefits the Clippers in that, like last year, they'll be fighting to prove they belong in the NBA. This could be Harkless's last contract, and a bad showing this season might have him out of the league. When you bring that mentality, and in the event they strike out on Leonard and go for role players, the Clippers could become even more dangerous than last year.

Oh wow, i didn't know you could make a trade without giving anything in return. I know you can do cash considerations, but just to adsorb a contract and get a FRP in the process. Great! Kicker is we still have room for Kawhi and finally have a decent SF! win/win!

6'9" SF

after shooting 41% from 3 in 2017-18, fell off to 27% last year

not feeling this one over JaMychal or Danny Green

but I like the height for a 3 a lot
with Pat and Lou at 6'
we gotta get bigger

would've been better off using that "harkless money" and giving it to Danny Green, at least gain a player that can have some pull with Kawahi.

2+1, why not? he isn't much worse than Harkless, I like Harkless but its obvious his 3pt shooting isn't consistent thats why he has these drastic variance yr to yr, he wasn't known to be able to shoot 3's in orl and took him a good portion of his Por time to finally be a decent spot up 3pt shooter and his D isn't all that much better than Green either

Was 41% from 3 a fluke? I saw he only shoots 61% from the FT line for his career.

well, I'm not really feeling the Harkless thing either but at least it's only one more year plus we get a FRP

Green might get 3 years and I don't want him at 35

we'd have to cough up that 1st

that's the market price

I like it if we could do a 2yr + team option but I think Danny can get 3 somewhere--esp with the FA cupboard so bare now
