Not sure what that twitter guy is on about, but I’m pretty sure we have zero capspace, only veteran minimums. JaMykal goes into the room exception so he doesn’t affect it either. After the Harkless deal we had about $34M in capspace, signing Kawhi leaves us with about $2M. George trade puts us over the cap already, and then you have to factor Beverley, Zubac and McGruder re-signing to way over their bird rights. We might be closer to the tax than to the cap.

Meanwhile, the Lakers gave Avery Bradley the same amount of money in 2019... yikes!

My understanding is by waiving Ty and Sin, as well as coming to terms with Rodney and Zu so we can rescind their QO's while retaining the smaller cap holds we were able to generate some more flexibility
