Nothing like LAFC and the 3252.

Los Angeles may be in the midst of it's Greatest Era in Sports -- Across almost every sport, So Cal has legitimate Championship aspiration, from the Clippers to the Dodger to the Rams to LAFC.

Good times...

We just clinched a Playoff spot, first team to do it this season.

THIS IS AN AWAY GAME and the chants that you're hearing are from the L.A. FANS!
The "3252" travels.

Not that I give a hang about soccer but Ballmer should try to scoop up any and all non-Laker affiliated sports fans in SoCal.

FTR, to prove I'm not a brute, I became a Ft. Lauderdale Striker fan back in the day and even attended a number of games back when there was no pro baseball or basketball in South Florida. I learned the rules and had several favorite players. Teo was amazing! And a midfielder at that!

I became a Strikers fan without ever becoming a soccer fan, which I still believe is the worst possible of all human sports. [The best thing about humans is our hands, and so here's a sport that won't let you use them. Moronic.]

You don't have to know anything about basketball to see that Kawhi and PG are amazing. You can enjoy these Clippers the way I enjoyed the Strikers. Ballmer should buy ads in every sports program and on every sports program in LA. The Anteaters!!

ADD: Gerd Mueller. Could only move 3 feet in either direction. But if you put it on his foot in front of the goal, he was a cannon. The keeper was shredded quicker than the Maginot Line.

(LOL, is that Miloš Teodosić or what? A Euro import past his prime, can't play the game at both ends anymore [if he ever could], but still dangerous in his way.)

(And collecting some easy American dollars!)

Truthfully, I've never been much of a Soccer/Football* fan... I'm not that big of a fan even now. But yeah, the sport is almost secondary to the Team itself, in a sense. The experience is up there, as fun as any other sport/team I've followed.

LAFC really feels like the Clippers of MLS. The team is just a bunch of good guys, easy to root for, exciting to watch (there's also the "little brother" thing. We're good, but we're the upstarts).

Uncle Steve Ballmer and Mr. Clippers, Jerry West, would approve of how LAFC is run...

I'm kinda on the fence of this LA rivalry. I am a Galaxy fan through and throufh. However, i don't support all of my fellow Galaxy fans because they havee this Laker fan syndrome. They like to treat the other fans like second class citizens. I ain't about that life. I know what it feels like to be treated that way comiing from a Clipper fan. It is amusing that Galaxy fans get really pissy when LAFC fans call them Carson Galaxy while they conveniently call LAFC fans Chivas 2.0.

There was a time that I cheered for Eddie Jones... around the same time that I cheered for Jorge Campos. But -love- sports fandom is a funny thing. I've come to realize that I never chose to be a Clippers fan (over the other team), the Clippers chose me.

With LAFC, it's all been a big honeymoon... no "clutter"... no long-time futility... none-the-less, the Clippers and LAFC are kindred spirts, as sports teams and as fans bases... at their essence.

P.S.
There's nothing that the "other" teams (the glam teams, the "historic" teams, the "older bother" teams) could say to us that could bother us. I eat it up, I enjoy it, makes me chuckle inside.

Check out these -Lakers fans- Carson Galaxy fans celebrating *not losing* to their "little brothers"...

They chant "You Can't Beat Us"... they're happy to get a Draw (hee, hee)...

I love it.

I think everyone realizes that most people in So Cal are Lakers fans (as opposed to Clippers fans).

Most Galaxy fans are Lakers fans... most USC Trojans fans are Lakers fans... most UCLA Bruins fans are Lakers fans... Dodgers, Angels, Rams, Chargers, Kings fans, etc.

However...
At the heart of it, LAFC and the Clippers are kindred spirits.

Celebrating with the players on the field (the pitch) are the fans (supporters)...

HISTORIC SEASON in Major League Soccer...

In every other country, in every other Football/Soccer League in the world, this would be the end of the season. The team that finishes with the best record (most points) are the Champs... but because the is the U.S./MLS we have to have a Playoff to determine things. So the record-breaking Champions of the "Supporter Shield" still has unfinished business... the "MLS Cup" is next.
