THE GOOD NEWS: The Rapts are on a back-to-back and Siakam went over 40 minutes last night

THE BAD NEWS: They smoked the 7-1 Lakers AT HOME by 20 in the second half---without Lowry and Ibaka

this is gonna take 48 minutes of hard work
if not more

That's what I always think, but then Kawhi just needs those 12 minutes in the 4th Qtr. And the basketball.

This is going to be fun. Back to back for them, but we're still early in the season and they have a lot of young legs. I could still do 2 hours of basketball back to back in my early 20's and still be pretty good on day 2. Now, just in my early 30's and after the first day of playing, I feel like my legs no longer work.

I (still) like them Raptors, tbh.

I wished them well when they had Kawhi and before we ever knew that he'd come to the Clippers.

Coincidentally, I also liked the Spurs/Spurs organization quite a bit. Emanuel Ginobili was once my favorite non-Clippers player.

Yah, I was thinking about that. Clippers not so young. Except for Shamet and Zubac, we're 30ish. Most nights, it won't matter. But these Raptor kids came at the Lakers in waves last night.

Meanwhile, I LOVE seeing Bron and AD playing 35 minutes a game. Dwight and JaVale are already looking creaky, and Danny Green went scoreless in 27 minutes. :D

All through Lob City, I never felt good about the 4th quarter, especially the last possession.

I'm rather enjoying them lately. :-) This is huge.

Raptors fans at Staples Center are making their presence felt. It feels like half the arena if not more is filled with Toronto fans, who have chanted "Let's go Raptors" several times already in first quarter.

Doc has a knack for finding the worst player on the team and giving them way too much playing time. Jamal, Austin, Wes, Avery, McGruder.

35-35.

The quality of play is amazing. Remember how they used to say the regular season was a joke? [It was, really.]

These days, night after night, the NBA is putting the best sports product in any sport out there. I don't credit the league, but I do credit the players. There are still a few just out there for the paycheck, but they don't last anymore.

Today's players play with joy, and they play with pride.
