Don't Turn Wizards Into A Contender

Given the Clipper's eternal reputation for turning scrubs into All-Stars-for-a-day, jump-starting a rookie's career, and not taking lottery teams seriously, they will need to be extremely focused against the Wizards. Underrated rookie Rui Hachimura struggled to score consistently into the 20's... until he faced the Clippers for the first time where he achieved a career high 30 PTS, the first time he's ever scored past the 29-point margin. Because of this, they will see him as a threat and target defending him and known superstar Bradley Beal. Just because you've shut them down doesn't mean the game is over: there are other players they have to watch out for like Troy Brown, Davis Bertans, Mo Wagner, Ian Mahinmi, Isaac Bonga, and whoever else coach Scott Brooks decides to throw in the cauldron.
This is a trap game. The Clippers must prevent every Wizards player from making as many shots as possible, and not let their under .500 record fool them into thinking D.C. will wither away on their own. The last thing the Clippers want is to create another Warriors dynasty.

mid-2ndQ--still have the lead
just trying to survive Robinson and Mann's minutes--minus-10 so far
McGruder and Shamet should fix that, both due to return soon
JaMychal was minus-7 too, just rusty you hope

Jerome Robinson is junk. I thought the guy came in the league as a shooter. I think he had one good shooting game so far this season.

Shocking how this Wizards team is tied giving that we have all our main guys playing.

Reminds me of that Pelicans game early on in the season.

We were minus-14 in the 7 minutes Robinson was on the floor. All the starters are in the plus, KL and PG are ~plus+15. We're up by 1. The math is pretty simple.

Honestly I don't really pay attention to those plus minus stats. All I know is he's supposed to be a knock down shooter, but he has missed alot of good open looks this season.

Davis Bertans wondering why he can't play the Clippers 82 times this season.

Robinson didn’t play well but the entire bench unit didn’t play well. Securing rebounds and playing strong defense is more than just Robinson. Guys like Lou, Mann and Harrell have to play better defense with more effort. Green should of sat out
Lmao how are we singling out guys with plus/minus but before it was about the effort of a unit ????

Well before you hurt yourself with all that lmao-ing

, Lou and Trezz's plus/minus shot up immediately after Harkless, Kawhi and PG came in, so obviously it was Robinson, Mann and J-Myke who were the drag.
Doc coached great--
he gave J-Rob another chance in the 2nd half and his +/- went north;
benched J-Myke, who obviously isn't ready yet
gave Mann another shot but yanked him when he went minus-6 in only one minute
and best of all, gave Walton a sniff, and was rewarded with 7 points in 9 minutes at +3
we needed guard minutes from somewhere and finally got them

So if guys are not hitting shots it can bring everyone down no matter how you play... lol I see amazing how that works when evaluating players vs units and the whole plus/minus
Glad that it’s now taken into consideration with the stat lol and yes I will get all of my lmao’s off on this one.
Good win go clips
Kawhi play your ass against Indiana

I have no idea what you're saying
plus/minus tells the story of the game if you watch the running totals
coach's job is to spread the minutes without getting killed on the scoreboard and to put the players in position to win with 5-6 minutes left
which is exactly how it went down tonight, despite crap games from J-Rob, Mann and J-Myke
Clippers pulled away in winning time
rather easily, actually
