Aaaand yet another lottery team is having a supernova shooting performance against our "defense." These are the Clippers I'm used to.

24½ solid minutes but that's why Zubac doesn't play in the 4th quarter. :-(

You had a veteran team on cruise control trying not to get injured against a bunch of kids with nothing to lose. PHX is also playing good ball--they beat the Dallas Cubans the other night.

There are only 2 Clippers who never play at half-speed: Trezz [still out of the bubble] and Bev [left with calf tightness after 8 minutes]. With the Lakers clinching last night, there's zero reason for the rest to treat these as anything but preseason games, and that's what we saw today.

Shocker that esqtvd is here to gloat about Zubac's turnover. Never mind that the game would have never come down to that if this team had actually put any effort in outside of the last couple minutes. I knew this was going to be a loss when I saw Rubio making contested threes.

Not gloating. He had a good game and Doc rewarded him with the minutes. He's just not ready for prime time, is all. Just not heady--yet. :(

lol--Doc Derangement never ends

As for the rest, if anybody had suffered an injury to win a meaningless game, that would have been troubling, not this.

Didn't like that game. Rubio and Booker looked like Hall of Famers. Defense poor. Sure, Montrez would have made a huge difference, but bottom line Suns played like they meant it, and Clippers seemed like they were not that worried. Leonard's poor shooting in the beginning didn't help, but I think it was the defense which lost this one.
The Clipper fan understands the Book of Exodus better than anyone... what it's like to struggle 40 years in the wilderness... and Genesis.. why Cain went after Abel... So fLakers, look out... we're coming.

This is why at this point, Trez is soo much more important than Lou. He adds another dimension that J-Myke and PatPat can't provide, interior scoring.

At last we're FINALLY respecting Trezz around here--in his absence.

I don't disrespect Zu, but he just turned 23 and plays the game mechanically. No instincts for the game. He doesn't SEE the court, he just tries to do his assigned job in his little assigned sectors. Set picks up high on offense or wave an arm at the 3-pt line on defense and then head for the rim and do what you can. He does that well enough.

Trezz has a PASSION for the game and a passion to prove himself to the league and to the world. Zu is guaranteed $7M/yr for the next 3 years. At age 26, Trezz has never made $7M in a year. He's HUNGRY and he plays hungry.

As for Lou, like Jamal Crawford, his fellow players respect him tremendously. They know he's not a gunner--he has the guts to take the shot when nobody else will. And J̸a̸m̸a̸l̸--sorry I mean Lou--had a crap game today in his first appearance after his tittybar quarantine--3-8 from the field and a team-worst minus-14. But he also had 6 assists and 6 rebounds in only 21 minutes. Lou is not just a gunner. He doesn't deserve disrespect. His teammates know.

As great as Kawhi and PG are, they can only hope to play LeBron and AD even. All the rest are placeholders--Zu, Marcus, McGee, Dwight Howard. [Although I'll give Bev a plus+1 over Danny Green, another placeholder.]

It's our depth that'll win this thing, and that means Lou and Trezz. After all the garbage thrown their way this year, yeah I'm gonna gloat when they're the difference that gets us the Larry.

BTW, the Laker loss was the first game we didn't have Lou or Trezz in the lineup since 2018. Add in our losing record without Pat Bev playing, and then you see why Doc closes games with Kawhi-PG-Bev-Trezz-Lou. They ARE the Los Angeles Clippers.

that tweet is being too hard on zu. Zu **** it up, but its a good learning experience. In the playoffs in meaningful games, Noah might get that role. This was a regular season game. Bad **** up, for sure but not a big deal. I actually liked the way the clippers played. Booker was just making tough ass shots. It came down to one shot, just like the lakers game. I wasn't discouraged by it at all. I don't think there's been any games in the bubble where the clippers just don't show up compared to how it was in the regular season before Covid hit.

Where Sacremento kings whipped us or the timberwolves whipped us. All the games have been competitive. Honestly, its a good sign. The lakers are number 1 seed and they got new parts so they're kinda discombobulated, plus they got guys that feed off the energy of the crowd. JR smith, waiters play to the crowd. There is no crowd. Pat bev could rally the clips.
