Zu: 21 points 15 rebs vs Dallas

Prime Ticket, ABC-TV
WHEN: 10 AM PST
WHERE: In the Bubble

OUT: Pat Bev
DOUBTFUL: Hassan Whiteside

Big test. Blazers are HOT--Dame coming off 45 points against the Nugs with 12 dimes and ELEVEN threes. Nurkic is back, averaging 22 and 11 with 3 bpg. PF Zach Collins is back after missing all season, averaging around 8 and 8.

Clips have a B2B with the Nets so Kawhi might give this one hell and take Sunday off.

Not a big test. Its just a game. Clippers aren't at full strength and who knows if the players will play full mins. I think kawhi takes this one off and plays against the nets just to **** with the lakers seeding.

imo, the time for overpanicking or over stressing about clippers basketball has passed. As far as the regular season is concerned. Lets just enjoy these last couple of games then clap the mavs in the first round. We can overanalyze when we get into the playoffs.

On an individual level, Zu will find out where he stands facing up with a real NBA center in Nurkic. I think he'll do OK. Even if he loses the matchup, he's on our roster to stand up to these 7-footers. All Zu has to do is hang in there.

Doc is giving Shamet a lot of play. 27 minutes vs the Mavs and an unimpressive 5 points and 3 assists, but once again Sham was a plus/minus phenomenon, tying Kawhi for a team-best plus+22.

And Marcus Sr is looking finally up to speed--plus+20 vs the Mavs. He's here to be the "glue guy" for the starting 5.

Lou and Trezz are a proven force. Kawhi and PG are NBA gods. Pat Bev is an agent of chaos and the heart of our team. He could go 0-10 from the field and still win us the game.

That's 5.

Zu, Sham, Marcus. We need 2 out of 3 to come through to win this thing.

Shamet has been the biggest disappointment for the clippers this year imo. Really thought playing with pg and kawhi would generate open looks for him and he'll make them but he hasn't. Also defense isn't that good.

That's what the "eye test" says. My "eye test" says the same.

But Sham's threat of the 3 spaces the floor for everyone else and doesn't he get beat on defense by his man. That's why his plus/minus is consistently a pleasant surprise.

That's why Doc keeps pumping Sham minutes. He never hurts the team even when he's cold, and just imagine if he starts burying it.

I’m cool with resting Kawhi and helping the Blazers out a bit. I really hope Trez gets to the bubble Monday or Tuesday; I like how we match up with the Mavs but we can’t be so nonchalant about an actual playoff series.

not gonna lie. Blazers will play their hearts out today and without Kawhi, Trezz and Bev it would be tough for us to beat them.
I'm OK with dropping this one, if it means to keep guys healthy for playoffs, still not jeopardizing 2nd seed, and possibly helping to create a Lakers-Blazers match up in the first round. we know the will have much tougher time against Blazers with healthy Nurkic and Whiteside switching on AD than Memphis.

Yeah, if anyone stresses out on us losing this game then they're just being ass hats. This is a game for us to drop. if we win it, cool but if we don't oh well. We're still second place.

I would actually like for us to loose. :)

Don't see Memphis hurting Lakers like Portland can.

Zubac did ok in this matchup but man Jusuf is silky smooth,8 assists. :o

Was about to say the same, Lakers Blazers first round, Lakers Rockets second round. Memphis won't be able to make a small ding on the Lakers.

I'm conflicted. I'm fine with us losing, but if we win against a fully healthy portland team without 2 of our best players, I like what that says about this team.

Doc had to pull some more players to the bench to give Portland a chance. :)

Now I am a little concerned about their defense, but still better them than Mamphis. :-?
