Most teams would balk at eating a coach contract with a lot of money remaining.
That should be much less of an issue for him.
But time is of the essence. There is probably a rush to get on the coaching carousel.

Lou coached that team mostly by getting out of the way. LeBron is the kind of player that can carry an offense with his playmaking, much like CP, and since we don't have that playmaking as presently constructed we should go in another direction. Lou may be great in that regard, I have no idea, but the point I'm making is that Lou is an unknown value with respect to the kind of coaching our team needs.
