Could've taken more money with the Hornets, got a bigger role and possibly done a sign and trade and maybe get Terry or Bismack back for the Clippers instead hurts his value and his reputation, gets traded just 1 season after and nets the Lakers Westbrook.

Since the Clippers kicked him to the kerb despite his past sacrifices for the team (and Lou Will too), instead of keeping him around to be part of a potential win... I'd say it's a job well done. By Trez, I mean, of getting back at the Clippers. :P

Trezz was 100% right about the Clipper' sense of entitlement and lack of hump. Kawhi and PG had their own private dressing room ffs. And they were humiliated in the playoffs for it. To their credit, Kawhi and especially PG came in with their head screwed on straight this season.

As for Trezz's own trainwreck of a playoffs, he pretty much had an emotional breakdown when his grandmother died in July. He's still not right in the head. This is heartbreaking.

Trez was projecting. He was the most entitled player on the team by far. And Doc enabled him every step of the way with his favoritism.

I mean, this is the guy who just said recently that matchups were "an excuse to bench him." Like an undersized big man who doesn't rebound, defend, stretch the floor or show up in the playoffs is still entitled to minutes just because.

Trezz had an excellent 2018-19 playoffs [18.3 ppg on a league-leading .730 FG%]. Then came back and won Sixth Man of the Year. Then his grandmother died and he has not been the same since.

He played good last night. Looked more like his old self. Matter of fact all the former Lakers are looking good on their new teams. Caruso on the Bulls as well

Of course Trez played well. It's the regular season and the Wizards are a treadmill team with no expectations.

DJ isn't really a surprise either. He's been washed for a while now.

Trez will probably have a career year this year since his PT will be more consistent. Whoever is coaching the Wizards (Scotty Brooks??), probably won't be as hard on Trez's defense as Vogel.

Undersized 2nd-round overachiever who outplays his contract and his talent. You gotta work around his limitations because it's doubtful he'll ever get the tactical aspects of the game. You do what Beal is doing, give him lots of love and support--which he needs desperately psychologically--and get the most and best you can out of him.

No different than what the Lakers did with Rambis and Mark Landsberger before him--go as hard as you can as long as you can and damn the torpedoes!!

Surprise, surprise - Trez is already complaining to the media again about his new team:

"At the end of the day, it's like the old saying, 'You've got to throw a squirrel a nut,'" center Montrezl Harrell said. "We're not saying throw it to us and let us clear out and iso and go and do our thing. No. But at the same time, let us feel it, not just off rebounding and then giving it to a guard. No, let us get a touch early to get a shot. Let's give us something to let us feel like we're involved in the game as well."

This is now three straight teams he's pouting on. Sure seems like he is the problem.

Hadn't heard this one--just ran across it the other day

https://fadeawayworld.net/nba-media/paul-george-and-montrezl-harrell-reportedly-had-heated-exchange-in-nuggets-series

Early in the second quarter, a struggling George had committed two careless turnovers in less than a minute. The second mishap was a half-court pass to Harrell, who was near the paint but surrounded by Murray and Michael Porter Jr.

Murray picked off the pass. Seconds later, the Clippers called a timeout.

Harrell approached his teammate about the risky pass, with George not taking responsibility and arguing the pass could have been caught had Harrell made the right play, sources said.

This set off the NBA Sixth Man of the Year.

Harrell responded with something along the lines of, “You’re always right. Nobody can tell you nothing,” and expletives were uttered from both players, sources said. George eventually toned down his rhetoric, but a heated Harrell wasn’t having it. Teammates began clapping on the sideline, in part to disguise what was going on and in an attempt to defuse the situation. The incident deescalated shortly after as coach Doc Rivers took his seat to go over the game plan.

The Clippers have been walking with a sense of entitlement all season long, which is a major departure from the rough and rugged identity that had just a year ago.

One has to think the behavior/mindset of the stars plays a huge factor in that, and it appears that some on the team are not afraid to call it out.

Trezz was right. We went on to lose the series. Pandemic P became a laughing stock in the basketball world with his whining and alibi-ing. Trezz was dumped, but fortunately PG came back with his head back on straight.

Trezz is far from the perfect teammate [on OR off the court] but after a great start, the Wiz seem to be returning to the lazy and/or selfish ways that mark every losing team.

And although something needs to be said after losing 7 of 8, Trezz should not be spilling this to the media. OTOH Jimmy Butler was labeled a malcontent pri*ck on multiple teams--even after he got to the Sixers. As it turned out, Jimmy was right--he put Miami on his back to The Finals while Ben Simmons is proven to be a gutless piece of ****.

Anyway, all I'm saying here is that it's complicated: Trezz is neither hero or villain. He just tells the truth. If Paul George or Bradley Beal or Jimmy Butler said the same things--and they should have--there's no issue here. As an NBA underling, the only problem here is that Trezz just doesn't stay in his lane.

Trezz thinks he's a leader. Trying to act like one but he simply isn't. He lasted this long in Clippers thanks to low key personalities of Blake-Gallo-Tobias-Lou-Kawhi and PG. At some point bubble breaks even the low key ones to not bear him.
2023 Clippers W/L Count (51-31)
(Russ at bench 42-15)
without PG13 3-3
Without Kawhi 7-4
Without Russ 6-6

The Wiz was flying high at the start of the season now crashing back down to earth in a flaming fashion. I was pulling for Trez in DC but now he's poppin off at the mouth again. Some things just never change

you know, i was happy for the wizards and kinda glad he found his place, even though he ended up being a toxic malcontent and was one of the two biggest factors in our collapse against denver. imagine if he had doc there to magnify his negative presence both on the court and off the court, like he did in LA.

but really, he's just showing who he's always been and always will be. it's no surprise at all. just glad he's gone and we don't have to worry about him anymore.
