Luka vs PG13 duel would be fun

Kawhi is listed day to day. I suspect he won't play today. We do have back to back games on Tueaday-Wednesday too

This game will be another big test for the team. Early weekend matinee game + probably no Kawhi. With Doc, this would be a guaranteed blowout loss. Hopefully they'll respond differently with Lue.

Yeah he’s likely missing the next two games at minimum. Can get his usual back 2 back rest in and comeback the 2nd game. With Kawhi out and Kennard starting we are going to mix things up even more

Let’s move on from having to refer to how everything would be with Doc instead.

With Kawhi out this is an instance where Lue should tell PG we need him to defend Luka and be our first option all game. We need to build him up over the course of the regular season with those kinds of challenges.

You're right. Also we need to have a decent sample size of games like at least 20 before we judge Lue as a good or bad coach.

Yea, definitely, saw Durant taking on the challenge against Tatum the other night, though Tatum is not as good as Luka, and Durant didn’t have his co-star out.

...and Kawhi is now out.

Someone randomly has to step up to win this one. Either the bigs become forceful inside or maybe get a random hit shooting game from someone but now is the time

maybe landmark is too strong a word against what seems to be a not-so-good mavs team, but maybe this is that type of game?

it's the first game without kawhi, so we are going to see what lue has in mind in terms of lineups and adjustments. we'll also see if paul george will try to go supernova, and how guys like kennard/batum/ibaka step up.

They need to be careful having PG guard Luka- he could pick up a lot of fouls. Maybe have Batum give it a shot. Hopefully Morris is back

People seem to forget that Staps is also out for the Mavs. No Kawhi sucks, but this is still a very winnable game and I trust Lue making the proper adjustments to disrupt Doncic as he did Jokic. I'm hoping we see some Mann tonight to replace Kawhi. Sucks that Mook still isn't ready. Kennard needs to have his first big game in a Clipper uniform, and Batum needs to keep his play going.

Not a good start, a bit sloppy....but when the offense didn't turn it over, they did get good looks. Just missed them
