I do like Quickley. Knicks got a steal with him.

Oddly enough, I think the Clippers would be a good team for Frank to go to. Beverley strikes me as the exact type of player that Frank should be watching and learning from.

Would need a lot of work on his shot but I could see him being a option. Reggie is making a case to be in the rotation but Beverly being back and the Lou/Luke situation will make it difficult

This 3rd Quarter Clippers are real.
Probs to Patterson for being ready when his name called.
T-Mann keep pushing for rotation minutes.
Reggie is cooking, exciting to watch both positive and negative :)
Zubac keep making winning plays.
Kawhi looks in really good condition phsically.
Pg13 hot shooting from start of the year is fading. At least he didn't committed too much to today.
Kennard is just meh and Morris needs his legs under him.

Barrett and Randle are great on lefty finishes, plays phsicall and make the Defense works. I thing they are no longer among top 5 worst teams.
2023 Clippers W/L Count (51-31)
(Russ at bench 42-15)
without PG13 3-3
Without Kawhi 7-4
Without Russ 6-6

Quickley's going to become one of my favorite players in the league at this rate.

I think Lou even needs Luke to play better to warrant them to try and keep both.

As of now I'll take Reggie over Lou. Luke needs to get his minutes also. Lou is a net negative. What he gives us in points he gives up on his lack of defense and boneheaded turnovers.

The "Luke situation" was answered before the season when our front office rushed to give him $64 million sight unseen. It is what it is. We can try to upgrade from Lou and Reggie, but we're just going to have to hope Luke starts playing better to justify that contract.

Lou is struggling but is still providing assists [5 today] and 38%/38% shooting, which isn't great but is not unheard of among SGs. Lou is making only $7M and is an expiring contract.

Kennard has a NEGATIVE plus/minus--on a team with a top-3 net rating. But the real problem is that he's signed for 4 yrs/$64 million. Like Goff, it would probably cost draft picks to GET RID OF HIM. So you try to figure out how to get minutes out of him.

You can give Lou minutes without him hurting you. Kennard is so far useless unless playing with the first unit. But you can put a donkey out there with Kawhi and PG and get SOMETHING out of him. That doesn't help things.

Yes, at the moment it looks like Reggie could take Lou's minutes and improve on them. But Lou is not the problem.

Such a wild situation but I’m interested to see how it turns out. Whoever comes to the team hopefully has the traits to fit in like a glove

I'm always nervous with somebody who puts up numbers with a crap team. After an underwhelming start as a Clipper, Mook has whipped himself into some semblance of utility but I dunno if he's worth his 4 yr/$64M either. But unlike Kennard, at least he's got some athleticism and can fill in at 3 positions. Kennard can only play or defend one and I'm afraid that like JJ, because he can't create his own shot, he doesn't bring much playing on second units.

Keep feeding Leonard in the post/elbow. He’s making things happen.

When Kawhi's in the paint good things happen. "Ball movement" around the horn is nice, but REAL ball movement is in and then kick it back out. That's real spacing--the whole frontcourt, not just the perimeter.

Not to mention Kawhi got 11 FTAs and hit them all. Easy money. :D

Nice win without Batum or Beverly.

Lou - 3 of 9, 9 points in 23 minutes... not the Lou Will I remember. I can't even count how many games it has been since he was a factor. 5 assists helps, but not enough to make me believe again.

Time for everybody to admit Reggie Jackson is an asset to this squad - 18 points in 26, 50% shooting, no turnovers and 5 boards. I'll take it. This is about the fifth straight game where Reggie has been very good. So it's not a fluke.

Kennard - 100% shooting, 100% from 3 point range (ok, 2 shots total)... maybe encouraging him to be more aggressive and shoot is a good idea

Rest up gents, rest up... we need a full team against the Nyets.
The Clipper fan understands the Book of Exodus better than anyone... what it's like to struggle 40 years in the wilderness... and Genesis.. why Cain went after Abel... So fLakers, look out... we're coming.

Two weeks ago everybody had Reggie buried. Didn't even want him on the floor.

As for Lou, who's out there helping him? Nobody, but he's still creating points for others. He's still captaining the second unit. Can Reggie run it better? Is Lou really finished or just slumping as his role is changing?

As for Kennard, he was 1-3 until hitting a shot in garbage time. Me, I'm just hoping it's rust--he had a looooong layoff with injury rehab and then the Pistons were left out of the bubble. But so far, I'm seeing Jared Dudley, who I hated on sight in his first preseason game as a Clipper and who I hate to this day. I don't hate Kennard but I'm not seeing the positives yet. I don't care what your percentages are--if you're a spot-up shooter who won't shoot unless circumstances are perfect, you're freeloading. Percentages are nice but it's all about production.

That poor fanbase has no idea what's coming in the playoffs with Doc's "coaching."

it's such a nice thing watching all the different lineups throughout the season.

you know, instead of for sure watching doc force a kennard/lou/jackson bench unit and be completely oblivious to how bad it would be

Return to Los Angeles Clippers
