It is but Ballmer would eat it to win. Especially if its strictly a contract dump with no real assets leaving

You don't win by gutting your entire team.
You definitely do not win with Westbrook as your point guard. Nobody does.

Gutted?
Do u prefer their 8 man playoff rotation be:
Beverly, PG, Kawhi, Batum, Ibaka
Lou will, M Morris, Zubac
OR:
Westbrook, PG, Kawhi, Batum, Ibaka
Reggie Jackson, Marcus Morris, +1 or 2 buy out canidates

Outside of being a terrible trade. The ESPN trade machine should not have allowed this trade. Neither team could support this trade because of the minimum roster requirements. Washington has to be able to remove the number of players from their roster to support the incoming players. Then, the Clippers would have to fill their roster, but would be hard capped.
While ESPN may approve it based on their programming, the NBA wouldn't.

terrible for who? easy solutions. washington sends 4 of the expirings coming in to another team for 1 larger expiring contract. clippers immediately elevate coffey from 2way contract to guaranteed

The clippers will not beat the Lkers or Nets as constituted. THey need to make a move at the deadline. THey have no assets for Lowry. Westbrook makes sense. He could help them beat the Lakers

this is a very unrealistic trade and it is doubtful the team would improve much, if at all.
On a side note, Westbrook probably would have been an all time great running back or wide receiver

Lol foolish to think Westbrook is not an upgradeover Beverly. Westbrook as the 3rd option is ELITE. Only kyrie is a better 3rd option in the whole league

The trade you are proposing is not Beverley for Westbrook straight up. Losing Zubac and Mann would definitely hurt the team.

THat's fair but do you think ZUbac can see the floor alot come playoff time when so many teams go small? and maybe I need to watch Mann more because I assumed he would not be in their playoff rotation. THey could easily sign Javale Mcgee and Trevor Ariza in the buyout market to replace those 2.

Thanks but no thanks to Westbrook.

I'm no cap expert, but I think the Clippers are hard capped and may be unable to sign buyout players.
I do think Westbrook is better than Beverley, but I don't think it is worth gutting the roster. Also, I'd be very concerned about Westbrook's near complete inability to shoot. He's never been a great shooter, but for some reason his shooting has declined noticeably. Now he even struggles to make free throws.

Go hit up the Lakers board with a trade proposal. They're struggling bad without AD
